Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

You just finish shopping at the market, or at Costco, and you can't help but look to see if the red light next to the driveway is lit. When it is, you can stop in and get in line and they will give you one of their regular glazed donuts to sample. It's enough to tempt you into buying a dozen to take home.

Lots of people like the original glazed, and since I have learned that you can ask them to pull the doughnuts before they go under that waterfall of sugar, I like them too. My favorite is the raspberry filled doughnut. When you cut it, the filling will squirt out. They also sell coffee that is good.

When the light is on, you can drive in and look at the process of making doughnuts. They also will give you one free doughnut when the light is on. Once you have one, they know you'll think seriously about buying a dozen of the regular or assorted types they sell. A real favorite.

You arrive at the airport, and begin the drive to Kahului town. At the first trafflic light, on your left is Costco and on your right is Krispy Kreme. You just can't beat their hot doughnuts, and you know they will be hot when the sign is lighted. Might as well pick up two dozen, since by the time you get where you are going the first dozen will be eaten.
