4 Stars: good prices, good cause (by Celeste C.)

I got a beautiful silk scarf here for only a dollar! You can feel good about shopping here too, because the profits go to AIDS prevention. The store carries a good selection of quality clothes.

3 Stars: Whoa, weird (by Marcus H.)

Located on a street surrounded by little tiny dollar stores and other cheap shops, this branch of the Out of the Closet thrift store seems a bit out of place. Looking in, one realizes that the selection seems to have been designed to blend in with the rest of the neighborhood. All kinds of random and weird things show up at this location, some of which it might never occur to you to pay money for On the other hand, there is the occasional find that makes thrift-shopping worth it.

Donate here, though. Money goes to AIDS care, their donation sites are convenient, and their receipts are quite generous.

3 Stars: Not the best thrift store around (by Ajna R.)

Out of the Closet seems like the depository for all the stuff Salvation Army wouldn't take. Their selection is generaly small and occasionally overpriced. Their displays, however, are nice and items are easy to find - not a lot of bins to dig through. Like all donation-based stores, however, this is liable to change based on how many people donate here. Their donation policy is good - they are generous in receipt writing, so their selection may pick up.

PROS: good displays
CONS: not great selection

4 Stars: Everything Is a Dollar (by Annie P.)

There's weird stuff here because they've made this one into their bargain outlet. But my roommate just found some hot tasseled boots there with a matching handbag, and I just found a wonderful gauzy vintage shirt. IT ALL GOES TO A BEAUTIFUL CAUSE--YOUR MONEY GOES TO THE AIDS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION AND MANY OUT OF THE CLOSET BRANCHES OFFER HIV/AIDS TESTING TOO.

PROS:
CONS: NO CONS
