Madrona Park

Madrona's a great neighborhood in general, and this park is one of the gems in the crown. It's a great spot for a jog or a stroll with a view of lake Washington, or just to sit. A nice cool breeze and lots of shade make this a great spot for those hot days.

Madrona Park and Beach is located on the waterfront on Lake Washington. The park include a wooded hillside that slopes down to a grassy beach and swimming area, where lifeguards are on duty in the summer. It also features a jogging path along Lake Washington and picnic areas. Madrona Dance Studio is in the south part of the park. What a great place to drive to, park, and go running along the beach sidewalk!

Volunteer park also offers a bit of Seattle's gold rush history. This neighborhood is worth a drive through just to look at what it would have been like to be super wealthy. The park itself hosts concerts and has a great art musuem. Thier flower garden is a great place to smell Hawaiian orchids and see a little bit of tropical paradise in the forrests of the northwest.
