Out of the Closet

This store doesn't carry very much that is usable to the average person looking for second-hand stuff. Maybe the quality of the donations just isn't there, but I've gone several times and have not found a single piece that I would want to buy. I do go to other second hand stores where there is more variety in the clothes and other items, and I do believe in what Out of the Closet does, it gives the earnings made from the stuff they sell to HIV programs, but I can't find anything here worth buying. I would be better off donating that money myself to an HIV/Aids program.

Out of the Closet has a few San Francisco locations on Church St., On Polk Street, & on Mission Street. You will always find that incredible fashion find bargain that you didn't come for. Great, affordable place for Halloween & Burning Man costumes. Give yourself a bit of time to go through their selection, which changes daily, or you'll end up being late for whatever you planned to do next!

Even though the employees are hardly paid above minimum wage, they are always friendly and helpful. There's always a great selection though some of the stock has been in for quite a while. Check it out. Conveniently located next to bus lines.
