Someone once told me that this store was one of the first Rite Aid's (nee' Thrifty) built in the area. If this is so, why is it treated like an unwanted step-sister instead of a valued member of the family?
The much needed remodeling after Rite Aid took over from Thrifty, never happened. (The money ran out.) The store is never well-stocked. Even if you shop on the morning of the first day of a sale, you have about a 50/50 chance of finding a sale item, even less of a chance of finding one of the monthly rebate items. The employees are aware of the situation, but can do nothing about it.
Rite Aid sells a variety of gift cards, however I wouldn't risk buying them here. A few months ago I tried to purchase a $25 Rite Aid gift card. It took a conference of three employees to figure out how to activate the card and even then, it wasn't right.
Unless I need to pick up a very simple item, I've learned to go to a different Rite Aid farther away. It saves time in the long run.
