We have used Delicious Planet for over 4 years now and could not get along without it. The food is delicious. My husband and I share an entree each night with maybe a salad, fruit or bread. It makes coming home from work so enjoyable. I can take a break and then have a delicious dinner ready in 15-20 minutes, NO kidding.
The new wraps are great, too, and may even turn up in your local grocery store.
I have been ordering from DP for about 3 years now for a few older gentlemen I used to cook for. DP has always been very open to adapting their dishes to address any health issues and/or taste preferences. Their prices beat any restaurant in town (helloooo ... it's delivered) and the fact that everything is locally grown is incredible. Their attention to detail and extensive menu is fabulous for people that like something other than meat and potatoes. I would highly recommend this company, their chefs, the customer service, and their wonderful owner, Randi, to anyone who craves something delicious, organic and personally made to their door.
I used this service for several months in 2004. The meals are all organic, and some are quite elaborate. The website is easy to use, and the staff are very responsive to emails or phone calls, and quick to resolve customer service issues.
However, the portions are fairly small and the prices very high. Some vegetarian entrees were $14-15 and only had enough food to serve one person. At that price, you might as well eat out. Fish and meat entrees were $18-20 but the portions were still pretty small.
Items are packed in a cooler with ice packs, and the containers are sturdy. Delivery is reliable. However, there are other services that cost less.
PROS: good food, organic ingredients, convenience
CONS: expensive
