I was so disappointed with the quality of work Peter Wilson put forth. His quote was on the higher side of the quotes I got and I figured you get what you pay for. I went over his quote verbally with him and proceeded with the job. I kept asking every day for a more detailed quote so there wouldn't be any miscommunications down the road. Never saw it-that should have been where I halted the job. He started out the job so pleasant and accommodating. Well, that quickly changed. Soon he became argumentative and condescending. He didn't use the brand paint I asked for and when he went to prime my house he didn't use proper primer (just slop paint with some binder in it). When I confronted him about it he talked to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I am a designer who has a clue what she is talking about. Every step of the way there were issues and he became cranky and defensive about addressing those issues. In the end my house actually had problems with the paint. There was bubbling in areas. I called and emailed him to have him take care of it. He basically told me it was my problem and he wouldn't deal with it. I don't manufacture paint or paint houses so I don't understand how a failing paint job could be my fault. He also managed to hand me a bill for a few thousand dollars of add ons. Not before he did any of the work but after. Minor stuff that I never imagined would be such expensive add ons. It was just his way of recouping some of his loses for a job he bid so badly because it took his guys way to long to get the job done.
Horrible experience. I would never recommend this guy to anyone!

Peter did a great job on my house. Very professional, courteous, and reliable. His color advice was invaluable, while taking into account my input. He coordinated necessary handyman, carpenter and electrician services, a great help to me. His bid was very competitive. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Peter Wilson has painted my home both inside and out and I could not be happier with the results. Peter has an incredible eye for color and has created a wonderful living palette for my wife and I. His staff is made up of professionals who know what they are doing who work in a very efficient and friendly manner. Although it has been ten years since he painted the exterior to this day I still get compliments of its color and composition. The subtle details he incorporates into his work truly make him and his staff artists of the highest caliber.

This is definitely a visionary painter. He suggested color palettes and sample colors for each room in my house, and the blend of colors was so successful, everyone who visits says my house is a showcase. Definitely worth every penny and I highly recommend him if you want quality, lasting work and value.

We have a small 1100 sq foot craftsman home which we had painted by Peter Wilson at the cost of over $10k! I figured you get what you pay for so thought I would hire the best (most expensive) and get the best paint job. I am disappointed. As part of the initial estimate a sanding was included to get rid of the old paint. Unfortunately, that was not done resulting in a lumpy finish. From a distance the house looks great, but can see all the old paint uneveness underneath. For that amount of money I was hoping for a smooth finish. We brought this to thier attention, but they brushed us off saying that is how it is with old houses and that the old paint gets baked on over the years. Additionally, he did not leave us any leftover paint to do touchups!

PROS:
CONS: expensive, not a thorough prep job
