Three of my friends that used Davids Bridal for their wedding dresses had terrible terrible experiences. Two of them were at the Davids Bridal in Depford and another one was in Pennsylvania. The first girl that got married 3 years ago, had trouble with the alterations. My mother had to help the woman pin the dress up because she didnt know what she was doing.
The second wedding was for last year. Terrible service, the alterations were completely wrong and lopsided. and they kept putting off when we could actually get it.
And the third happened this past week. They ordred the wrong flower girl dress. And the wrong size for the bride. We didnt catch that till later on. Keep reading..
All the bridesmaid dresses were in the store 3 weeks after we ordered them. They told lauen that her dress was "not ready yet" and it was in the back. 2 weeks later she got a nasty message on her machine letting her know that they were not a "warehouse" and she needed to get her dress ASAP. when she asked for a certain woman in alterations, she got another nasty comment "you cant request someone, they are all equally good"
when she went to get her dress last week, it was too tight (she actually lost weight not gained) they checked the size and realized they ordered it too big, so obviously they tried to fix their mistake and tried to make it smaller. it was lopsided, didnt fit right, and was not even centered because they pulled it in too tight. they altered the top part when they were not supposed to even touch it. And they put pearls instead of gold hooks for the bustle. Save yourself the trouble. Spend a little more money to have people wait on you that actually care. This place is way to coorporate, the service is always great when making a sale. Its the aftermath you need to worry about.
P.s. the manager that night was sympathetic and said that she could get another dress asap, and they would do everything they could to help her out.
But three strikes you are out ladies. They lost my business and every other single girl out there who we tell this story to.
