Furniture Land South

I have shopped and purchased furniture from FLS at least 3 times during the last 10-15 years. We recently redid our living room and had a wonderful experience all around. Our sales person doubled as our interior designer- really listened to what I wanted for the room, helped to pick out great fabrics and gave ideas of where to place individual pieces of furniture in a difficult floorplan that we had to work with. We were also told 6-8 weeks- but we were floored when we got a call within 8 weeks that our furniture was ready to deliver- we had not even painted thinking we had more time. One of the couch cushions had a small tear- we had a replacement within 1 1/2 weeks. This fall we returned to get help from our same wonderful salesperson in picking out a rug for this same room, as well as one for another room. She spent over 2 hours with us in the rug gallery pulling down rugs to go with our fabric samples. We left with one in the back of our van and the other ordered- to be delivered with NO delivery fee for the promotion that month.
I would not go anywhere else but FLS to furnish my home- they have saved me money- have always been very professional and have more inventory to see than anywhere else around- and I need to see it all before I make a decision. Best of all- I purchased furniture from LOCAL manufacturers who still made it right here in our state!

I'm a happy camper. I shopped in their outlet center and found some unbelievable deals on high quality furniture. There is nothing that compares to their selection and professionalism.

I've found Furnitureland South very reliable and honest. We have loved the free delivery promotion, and had prices from a previous month when they were not running free delivery. The store was packed when we were there, and we could not have had a better experience with our salesperson.

The FREE delivery promo is a lie! The delivery cost is just added into the cost of the furniture. Don't be fooled! They are just desperate for business and will say with they need to in order to make the sale.

I saw a big Furnitureland South truck pull up in front of my neighbor's house and saw beautiful furniture coming off the truck. My neighbor told me all about it so I made a phone call. We took a trip to High Point and I cannot believe this place. Imagine over a million square feet of high end home furnishings in one place, and exquisitely decorated. Our sales person helped us plan our rooms, select fabrics, and we felt like we got great savings. We have received delivery, and not one problem. I highly recommend this place.

They misrepresent ship times when ordering furniture. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks to receive an ordered sectional. A few weeks later we received an update showing 3 month wait. We just received another posting a 4 month wait and I cannot see the benefit of ordering from this store. Had they been more honest we would have selected different furniture. I do not plan to order any more furniture from FLS

You have to experience shopping at this place. They have REAL furniture...the best brands at the lowest prices. We worked with a lady who seemed to have unlimited knowledge. We did a family room and living room and everything went very smoothly. You should definitely check out their new outlet center.

We would not buy anything from this store again.
It took over 9 months and still we had to live with less than what we purchase.
Many email were never answered. call on hold forever, only to be told they would call back which never happened.
The only good to report is, the sale women was a great help when we visited the store.

I am a Hong Kong transplant and order a bedroom suite for my father,the guys were right on time on a rainy day.I have light color carpet and before i can say anything he took off his shoes right away.That shows us how professional and respectful Furnitureland is.He told me he was of Cambodian descent and use to taking his shoes off at the door and made me laugh so hard,i will definitelty shop there again

Their ideas were great and he made us feel right at home and made us want to come back and send all our friends I would send all my friends here because Drew really helped. I just wish they would advertise more. If you love great prices on furniture, this place will satisfy and more. If you cannot stand saving money on furniutre, stay away. The prices may be great, but you will love them. They always deliver great service. What I really rave to my friends about this place is the very best. We purchased a family room set of furniture--6 pieces all together about a year ago. We have not been happy with some of the quality and have been trying to get customer service to respond for over a month. When we were waiting to get delivery info, we had the same problem. The selection was huge and our salesperson was great but it's been downhill since then. I would not recommend a business that does not back their claims. We even purchased the additional insurance but are beginning to doubt that has any impact. Beware.

The only way you can describe this facility is by first commenting on it's size. It is larger than many small (and medium sized) hospitals, with it's own high rise walkway connecting two buildings, cafes and computerized map system.

When you first enter you are asked to register, but if you just want to wander, tell them you were there last week and they won't bother you. However, it may be beneficial to have someone give you the lay of the land during a brief orientation spiel. One review was concerned about too much follow-up, but they actually seem to be lacking in the follow-through department.

This is a good place if you want to see many different pieces from a particular collection, but not necessarily the best on customer service. In fact, I've heard of some people have difficulty getting in touch with their sales person *after* the sale is completed.

PROS: lots to see
CONS: too much to see? Poor service...

If youre looking for ideas, unusually pieces or youre just not sure what your looking for you might want to go here for some ideas. They are huge I think they told us they have over 1million square feet of inventory. The only thing my husband didn't like is that they want you to register when you walk in, that way they get your info and bombard you with mailings, phone calls to see if you decided anything etc. My husband refused to do this and you could tell it bothered them. We felt like it was high-pressure sales at this location and choose to leave and go to a couple smaller locations to find our new bedroom suit. Its worth taking a look but be prepared for the vultures
