Monk Thrift

The owner of this place is a hothead jerk. Watch yourself if he's there he might accuse you of stealing. Don't ever expect to be treated fairly or with respect.

Monk is this little shop that is completely packed with a perfect variety of "thrift". They have old clothes, shoes, purses, accessories, books and whatever else you can think of. You have to search through a lot of stuff but you will usually come up with a gem! They even have a little dressing room so you can try stuff on before buying. Plus it's super cheap!!

This is thrift shop feels like the bedroom of a friend who just collects everything... And I mean... Everything! I bought a pair of great Western boots for less than $40! Granted, you have to do a bit of searching but looking through the things they have is half the fun!

this is a fun little store to stop by once in a while. i don't think i've ever bought anything from there, but i enjoy looking. they seem to have more cool vintage-y stuff than regular thrift stores. the prices are a little high. they have some stuff int he front like belts and jewelry that isn't used, which is actually less expensive. they have a tiny fitting room which is just a curtain pulled around a round rod in the front of the store. it doesn't offer as much privacy as some would like. check it out if you're in the area.

This is a fun place to check out once in a while if you're in the area, but don't go too far out of your way for it. There are tons of thrift stores in the area, and there are better ones to go to. However, I kind of like the vibe of this crammed little place. They have a lot of really cheap studded belts in the front for the aspiring punx. They also had a bunch of cool cowboy boots last time I was there. It's a small store, so everything is crammed together. Luckily, it never seems all that crowded. Some of the clothing is regular thrift store stuff, but some seems more vintage, which is cool.

This is a pretty cool store to visit now and again. They have a lot of stuff packed into one small place which makes for some fun thrift shopping. Every once in a while I have found something I really liked here and the price is always sweet. Definitely worth checking out.

Yes, this is that junky-looking jam-packed thrift shop on A that for some reason has a forest of hookahs in the window. On my first visit, I picked up a BCBG super soft poly striped shirt and matching saucy red vintage trousers (which I was complimented on every time I wore them until inevitably destroying them in the wash). Subsequent visits have been less fruitful, but since I once found a solid outfit there for under $15, that keeps me popping in. The racks are packed with crap, though, so only go when feeling ambitious.
