I wish I'd never gone to this place. I read mixed reviews, but got autostarts in my and my husband's cars because they offered a good deal on the pair of them. But they are apathetic at best, downright rude at worst. My car key and remote start fob were stolen recently so I needed to have my remote start reprogrammed, as well as to buy a new one. When I called to make an appointment, it was a very long, circular conversation, where the girl kept saying I needed to bring it in so they could figure out what was wrong with it. I kept telling here there was nothing wrong with it, I just needed to reprogram the autostart and keyless entry to whoever stole my keys couldn't get in. I was getting the feeling that they just try to get you in, then see just how much they can charge you for. I finally got her to understand what I needed, she gave me a quote, $60 to reprogram the one-way that I have, $100 additional for a new 2-way to be programmed to the same frequency... kind of a lot but oh well. I made an appointment for noon the next day, but about 30" later I called to change it to a later time. A man answered the phone, said no problem, come at 3p, we'll have someone here, it'll take 10 minutes. My husband went at 3pm today, and the only guy who can do this just left for lunch, gone until 4pm. Whoever said to come at 3pm apparently didn't write it down, but the regular gal at the counter acted like No one else answers the phone but me, are you sure you called the right store?... it was astonishing! Then when I finally got someone to work on it, he came back in and tacked an additional $35 on the bill, because it had to be "recoded" not "reprogrammed".... um, huh??? Absolutely the worst service, indifferent, "too bad, so sad for you" attitude.. and then getting as much money from you as they can. Grrrrr!!!

This shop is AWESOME!! This place was def. not one i would take my car to about a year ago or even this summer. There employees where rude, un-educated and had no idea how to run a bussines. The guy that runs the show now has all the answers and if he dont know he will find out to let you know. I got an auotstart for my new car for christmas. I was really happy for my gift till i saw where it was from. Like i said not a shop i would trust to work on my car BEFORE. I went in and talked to the guy up front (kurtis there GM) and tlaked to him and i let him know how i felt about this bussines and he toattly said that its a different shop than what it use to be. He made me feel comfortable and he def knew his stuff! So i made an appointment and i came in......... Well i showed up for my appoinment as did everyone else. I fill out my work order along with allllllll other appoinmnets. He is running around making more room in the parking lot for customers and getting product for his employees and still chekcing cars in. How he does it all and not miss a beat is mind blowing. I wanted to see how much knowledge his other staff had and asked about the other units and she (tiffany) knew her stuff too! I eneded up getting there 1 mile two way. Well my ride didnt show up to pick me up and i eneded up spending more time than i was counting on. Kurtis asked me if i was waiting and i said yea i guess i am. He said no worries........(keep in mind i was not one of the first 10 people to drop off.) He said ill get your car pulled in and have it done first thing. They actually care at autostart alaska.....moving cars around in there small parking lot to make it easier for customers to adapting to your needs. Just not the service you see anymore these days. This shop is now one of my favorites! Kurtis hope you are happy there and DONT EVER leave!!

I had an Auto Start installed in my Dodge Diesel pickup a few years ago. The install was timely and it all worked for a few years. Then the trouble started. The seat heaters quit working. The auto start would start the truck, but not turn on the seats or the cab heater. I took it to them and they worked on it and charged me for an hour and could not find the problem. Finally, my cab heater and seat heaters quit working all together after three years. I took it to another shop and they told me that whoever put my auto start in butchered the job, and they would have to repair the electrical circuits for the seat heaters and the cab heater to work. I HAD NO HEAT in the CAB! So they charged me $395 bucks to fix what AutoStart Alaska had butchered and could not fix. I would not recommend these guys. They are flaky and do crappy work just to make a buck. They seem to stand behind what they sell if it's easy to fix, but if they have to admit to a mistake, they're gonna charge you for it and I don't trust their repairs either. I run an electronics shop, and the techs they use are inexperienced compared to any form of professionalism. Each guy is a new guy it seems, and they don't pay enough to get good qualified employees and don't seem to train them well for quality control. Turn over is huge, and when you have problems, they shrug and point and wish you luck.

I would NOT recommend these people to anyone! I've had a terrible experience with this business. I wanted to replace my DVD and CD players in my car and they ended up screwing with me and making 3 different appointments every one of which nothing was done-first they offered me to put in head rest DVD player then called me almost at the end of the day and offered to add another one to my order which is more expensive too and when I said no just do the head rest as we agreed they told me it's already almost wired in. Not even 2 minutes later they called me again and said oh well we can unwire it if you come back next week???? I did -then they kept my car all day and at the end told me oh we need to order some parts-come next week (notice that every time I came in someone had to drive me there from my office. Anyway the third time they said parts didn't come in although a week before they told me they were going to be overnighted. AND the biggest bullshiter there is their manager I take Curtis-never ever go there!!!

I purchased an autostart for a manual transmission for my boyfriend for christmas. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.
They explained how everything worked to me, and we set up an appointment to get it secretly installed. I ended up changing the
installation date on them a total of five times. Every time, they were very friendly and considerate and gave me no trouble at all.
We had a minor isse with the autostart and brought it inn which they fixed with no charge or hassle. I was very impressed with the
service and quality I received.

I got my windows tinted there. They took my car to another Business and had them tint my windows and charged me $100 more. next time i will do some calling around..but talk about a shady business Autostart Alaska are scams.

I googled to get the address for this bussines and then I saw the reviews.....to be honest I was second guessing if I should even call. But I did and I was really blown away on how much info I received about an auto start for my truck so I made an appointment. I came in to get my truck done and I was greated with a very profesional staff. I made a comment about the "bad" reviews. Kurtis the general manager said that the reviews where true. That the bussines was in hurting in a bad way and he has no exxcues. He also said that he has recently come back to this bussines to get it back on track and get the quality and customer service where it use to be. It really meant alot to me for him not to just give me an excuse but to take responsibly and make it better and to move forward. I later got a call from the staff to let me know the car was done. I came down and paid( GREAT DEAL) and I was takin outside and given a full lesson on how it works. I thought I may have been given special treatment since I brought up the bad review but two other customer got the same service. Two days after my install I received a follow up call and make sure everything is great. Kurtis and his staff are amazing! I really see Autostart alaska gettin back to being number one real quick again!

Do NOT go to these guys, they will rip you off, mess up your engine and brakes when they install the autostart, and when you take the car back, they'll pretend to fix it and give you back your car without doing anything to put it back to the quality it was before you brought it to them.

I have had my autostart for 9 years and one time had a problem with it and took it back to Autostart Alaska and they fixed it for free. What a great bunch of guys. And all are very knowledgeable. Thanks for all you do.

Anyone who lives in a very cold or very hot climate will appreciate the addition of auto-start to their car. I received mine as a gift and have been enjoying it this whole past winter season. For a 2-way receiver with a 2000 foot transmission, it ran about $700. But I do have a stick shift SUV, so more controls need to be put in place for a manual transmission vehicle. The customer service at this place was great and they didn't mind when we called with more questions a week later.

I was quoted $500.00 for my auto start. I paid $525.00. I feel that this is false advertizing. If its adverized at $500, then I should pay $500. Also the work was substandard. The placement of the devise was off center and not striaght.
