Thomas Christy - Central Pediatrics

We paid off our bill for $247 and then went in for a well child visit and we were told we had a $13 credit. We needed to come back for another visit and we were going to pay the bill in full right then but were told we had a $240 balance. How do you go from $13 credit to $240 on two visits when our visits cost $56. Out of the $240 on the new balance, $56 of that was left over from last year (2007). And when we paid our bill for $247 that was suppose to have been for year to date balance because we had never received a bill and just decided to pay it. Our biggest complaint is when you tell me how much I owe you, I expect to pay it and it be 'paid in full'. But instead, we were told we owed more money. We love Dr. Crowell. He had nothing to do with us leaving.

We really like Dr. Crowell. When my son was in the hospital we had just moved back here and didnt have a pediatrician yet, so when Dr. Crowell took care of him in the hospital we decided to see him as a regular pediatrician. We havent had any problems with him or his staff they all seem very nice and the place is very clean. It's very easy to get an appointment and usually from start to finish the whole appointment takes about an hour sometimes less. They do need more parking though.

My baby is 4 months old and so far I am very happy with Dr. Crowell and the staff of Central Pediatrics. I haven't met Dr. Belew yet.

The office is conveniently located on Hwy 31, although they desperately need more parking. The office is clean and organized. The waiting room has designated areas for sick kids and well kids. The rooms are "color coded" (they have a red room, purple room, etc) and have colorful cartoon posters on the walls.

Dr. Crowell is very upbeat and easy to talk to. He goes through key points in the categories of growth, nutrition, safety, etc. at each well-child visit. He is able to answer all my questions in a way I can understand.

The nurses are very kind and helpful. Calls are returned quickly regardless of the time.

PROS: great nurses, great doctors
CONS: need more parking
