5 Stars: teacher (by peggy t.)

I have been a client at Skinactics for over 5 years. I have been so impressed with the services that are provided at the school. The students are advanced and are very knowledgeable about the skin, along with providing the best facials I have ever had. Melissa Cundiff is the owner and has always kept up with the lastest in skincare services to provide for her students and clients. The school is like a spa like environment and smells great!!! I have a very stressful job and love to go to Skinactics to relax. Everyone makes me feel special, even if they do not know me. Skinactics does not feel like you are in a school environment!!! I Love it!!! From your lifetime and happy client. peggy t.

5 Stars: Great education (by catmyrick)

I am a former student and graduate of Skinactics. My experience with Melissa Cundiff and her school was very positive and enjoyable. I also learned a great deal from her program and with hands-on experience with the clientele that came to the school for the services that the students provide. As I am a researcher, with what information was available on the internet at that time, and trying to talk to as many people I could in the field, I was prepared to visit her school. The first time I met Melissa, I was impressed with her warmth, the information she shared about the program, and the personal walk-through, that it wasn't long before I decided to join. After spending almost two years gaining knowledge through hands-on and classroom work, I was ready to go out into the workforce, with virtually no supervision. I landed a job as a sole aesthetician in a plastic surgeon's office before I even finished the program. It has been a wonderful journey, and invaluble experience to my career. I only wish I could've known about this field sooner in my life. I carry out each day everything I learned and more which is used in my job working for a large day spa. For anyone who is interested in doing this kind of work, keep in mind it's a people job only for those who truly care about taking care of people, a physical job-- naturally, but very rewarding. Choose your school wisely, as they are not all the same!

5 Stars: Great School! (by Tshade1)

I just recently finished my esthetician training at Skinactics in Daphne, Alabama. I knew from the first day I dropped by to check out the school, talked to Melissa Cundiff, and took a tour of the school, this is what I wanted to do. I called my sister-in-law and we both signed-up to begin classes that same week. I went to school with some of the best women in the area, and have made a lot of good friends. I learned so much while I was there. The "hands-on" training was especially fun, but more important, it gave me the confidence I needed. We are are grateful that Melissa opened this school. She made it possible for us to get the training we needed to begin careers as estheticians. Regretfully, Melissa had to close the Daphne school. I have not yet visited Skinactics in Birmingham, but have plans to do so in the near future. I hear that the school is fantastic. If you are interested in skin care or knowing more about the career possibilities available to estheticians, you owe it to yourself to get in touch with Melissa. I know that she would answer any of your questions, just like she did mine. I am so glad I went to Skinactics. Melissa was my instructor, and a very good one at that. So Melissa, if you are reading this....thanks alot and hope to see you soon.

5 Stars: Best Esthetics Education You Can Get! (by MHT75)

If you want to get an education in esthetics, make-up artistry, or both...this is the best place! I am a graduate of the school and can't even begin to tell you how it's changed my life. I have gone from working in a medical spa, to working in a top rated resort doing facials, to now working as a district manager for the largest cosmetic producer in the world in just 4 short years. It took me over 15 years in my previous career to earn only half of what I am making now. Besides the education and earning potential benefits, the school and it's instructors are fabulous! You get extrememly personal attention and the school is so beautifully equipped with the latest tools and technology in esthetics today.

Melissa Cundiff is the owner and teaches at the school. She has really revolutionized the esthetics industry in Birmingham and has paved the way for many successful estheticians. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for Melissa and Skinactics.

I urge anyone out there if you are considering taking that step towards an esthetics career , this is where you need to do it. I wish I would have done it sooner!

There is also a new addition to the school called Cosmactics for anyone considering a career in make-up artistry. Want to go to Hollywood and become a professional make-up artist? You can't go any where in Birmingham and get the education you will get here.

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the friendly faces to the exceptional education, it's such a great place..not to mention the best facial you'll get in the city for the price!

5 Stars: Birmingham's Best Kept Secret (by TheGirlsGroup)

I saw the ad at the Rave theater and went to Skinactics for a service. I was so pleased at the professionalism of the students and staff. My facial was the best facial I have ever received! I was shocked that I was in a school. The prices are great and I will definitely be returning for other services at the school.
The ad was right. This is Birmingham's Best Kept Secret. Tammy
