First of all, we met with the owner and his staff five times before my event, outlined our expectations with him and was told by him that he would be able to accommodate all requests. well let me sum it up and give you a rundown of the fiasco.1. I was told that there would be staff helping him with our event and two days before he told us that he would not have staff and it would be extra if he brought help (this was not discussed as a separate fee during our five meetings) 2. our colors were sage and cream, we told him that we wanted to color coordinate our punch and he brings red instead of kiwi punch that we agreed on.3. we told to expect any where from 300-350 people, he said I will prepare food for 300 and you wont run out. we ran out of food shortly after the wedding party was served. (now to be fair I will estimate that something close to 400 people showed up) but to run out of food as quickly as he did was an indication of poor preparation. 4. He was to handle all serving dishes and utensils, my wife and I ate out of the same size serving plates as our guest, he did not even bring a knife.5. He did not even bring replenishing supplies for the food that was being served.(No extra anything)6. He did not prepare a takeout container nor did he set any food aside for my wife and I to take with us when the reception was over.I could go on but assorted sandwiches, pasta salad, hot wings, deviled eggs,fruit display, punch and sparkling cider was not worth $4,000.00 (especially to have run out)I use to consider this man to be a profession given my past experience, when my previous employer would retain his services but what I got was a big disappointment and a lot if money spent for a poor sub-par performance from a PROFESSIONAL.</p> m m. http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3709502917 Tue, 02 Jun 2009 18:18:00 GMT http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3709502917#10301880409 <p>Not long ago, I was an event planner for a major university in town and once I discovered Starlight Caterers, my luncheon woes went away. I reccommend them sithout reserve for any function.
