I recently purchased a washer and dryer from Salvation Army, Green Springs Hwy location. The "Store Policy" is that all appliances are sold "as is". I asked an employee whether the appliances were testing prior to placing them up for sale? I was assured that the washer and dryer were tested at their warehouse. I ask the Store Manager, if by some fluke I got the washer and dryer home and they did not work, what recourse did I have, I was told none. Well the dryer did not work. It would be nice to know that if they continue selling appliances that they have actually tested them, since there is no return, no refund. I do not believe that the dryer was tested at the warehouse, worked and while it was sitting in the store waiting to be purchase, it just stopped working.
