Silvertron Cafe

Silvertron Cafe was a disappointment. Can't make tea properly, ordinary coffee, ice cream that had metled and been refrozen. Thankfully cheap, but there are many alternatives so we're probably not going back. It felt like somewhere that relies on lots of local marketing rather than on good quality to bring people through the door.

SIMPLY GOOD!!!!
probably one of the few restaurant that offers a great quality for the price.

Dishes that i enjoy every time that i go there with my husband:
-steak sandwich
-chicken quesadilla or cheesburger
-Forrest Park Pie or brownie.

A definite Southside landmark and an extremely popular lunch spot, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to other Birmingham restaurants. The food is terrific, the atmosphere is yuppyish, the acoustics are terrible, but the regulars there expect it. Nothing totally outstanding there--just a terrific neighborhood restaurant.

PROS: Good food.
CONS: Not so good parking

If you're looking for fine dining or an exciting night on the town then keep looking because Silvertron provides neither. Silvertron's main appeal is the odd combonation of foods it decides to include on its menu, most of which are all executed satisfactorily. No better, no worse.

PROS: Not a bad atmosphere and something of a Southside Landmark.
CONS: Nothing spectacular.
