Let it be known, that Chinese food is not may favorite, yet it seems to be one of my wifes!! When I get in trouble, I can agree to go to eat Chinese and get myself out of it somewhat. She use to take me to "fine" dinning establishments and those hole in the wall places too, but it didn't matter, I always came out unhappy and usually hungry. I would just stare at the "menu" and not have a clue what to order and when I would finally just "point" to something, when it arrived it wouldn't be anything like I thought it was going to be. Then along came the "buffet"....where you can see the food. There were a couple in town that she knew I wouldn't leave unhappy or hungry, so that is where we would go when I agreed to eat Chinese and she can go to those "other" places at lunch without me!! This past weekend instead of driving over to the other side of town, she said let's go here. This wasn't her first visit, but it was mine. We walked in and immediately the girls ran to the water fountain in the middle of the entrance. We were promptly seated and had a drink orders taken. We then walked toward the "huge" buffet. I was awestruck at all the ways shrimp can be prepared. I "loved" the buttered fried shrimp. They also had King Crab Claws (though as soon as some were brought out, somebody would run up and fill up two plates full and empty it back out again), you can't hold the restaurant responsible for the lack of manners of it's diner's though!! The restaurant was clean, the service (even though it is a buffet) was friendly, they kept our drink glasses filled and the empty plates cleared from our table. I have to admit, I made more than one trip to this buffet, which is saying something. There were certainly items on there you will never find on my plate, but I can assure you that I didn't return to the table (on any of my trips) without a full plate! Then to top it off, the ice cream....none of that machine stuff, they have the good stuff ,hand dipped, lots of choices and blue bell no less!! Top that off with a good fortune and a cookie to boot! The price was the icing on the cake.....very, very reasonable. I won't admit this to my bride, cause I do like my meat and taters, but she likely won't have much trouble getting me back in here, whether I am in trouble or not!! Friendly, reasonable, clean, plenty of parking, and lots of choices on the buffet!
