kroger is a good grocery store. the ratio quality/price is high enough to let people sacrifice other cheaper places. the brand kroger is good in most of the items.

the stor is verey nice , i always find what i'm looking for, fresh produce and poltry anf the right price is garanted, also they double the manufactur copouns up to 50 cents so many things end up almost free

With a Kroger card (easily obtained at front register), one can save money over discount stores by carefully shopping their sales. Weekly sales flyers are avail at the front of the store by the entrance. Deals are also posted at the items themselves. This store has an extensive selection of organic produce, hormone free/antibiotic free meat, and even free range chicken. Kroger's doubles coupons up to 0.50 (ie: $0.50 doubles to $1), and has an excellent policy on pricing errors. If you notice a price rang up incorrectly, go to customer service after you've paid your bill. CS will give you a full refund of the product. I recently bought two packages of diapers for $3 total (saved $19) this way.

PROS: overall a clean store; excellent deals; self-checkout avail.
CONS: Kroger card required to obtain sale prices; store can be very busy at times

Our local kroger doubles coupons up to 50 cents, talong whith the offers they have, you can find some really good deals.
using kroger.upons.com, you can add more coupon offers directly to your 'kroger plus' card, they call it 'coupons that you click not clip'
the customer service in the local store is very good.
the normal prices are expensive, but they usually have good weekly offers

Kroger is a very popular food store in the Auburn area. I do like it's convenient location; away from university traffic but not out in the "boonies". Also, they have specialty foods that you can't always find at other stores. The cleanliness is satisfactory. Pricing is $1-$2 more per item than Wal-Mart and $.30-$1 more than Winn-Dixie. A savings card is a must.

CONS: High Pricing

For a grocery store in the middle of Alabama, I have to say that I'm impressed with the selection of Vegetarian and Natural Food ingredients in the Kroger. They have a refrigerated area in the Produce section of the store that carries to a good variety of tofu, veggie "meats" and "dogs", and cheeses. There is also a natural foods section in the centre of the store that carries quite a wide selection.
Check the freezer section for lots of Morningstar products, too.
