Blue Plate Cafe

This is the best place to eat in Huntsville "even if it is in the projects." Their menu changes every day and I think they should be open through dinner and on Sundays.

There is a reason for the long lines waiting to dine at the Blue Plate Cafe. The food is fantastic. Truly just like a southern Grandmother's. The servers are friendly and attentive. Diners in a hurry are delighted by the by the fast order to table speed. Be ready for a line from now on as this restaurant is one of the best in Huntsville.

Wonderful place to get breakfast. The food is good and the staff are very nice. The wait was not bad. Although parking is limited and it sometimes makes it hard to get into.

Several times I have driven pass this restaurant, to find many people standing outside waiting to get in. I thought to myself, this must be a great place to eat. I was not disappointed to say the least. This "IS" the place to eat. Every meal has not disappointed me. I love the people that work there, and the timeliness of the service is conducive to my work schedule. I definitely rate this cafe a five (5) Star.Ms. Allen and Ms. Merkle Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Tried it once. Not quite like Car City or Big Spring, etc. for folksy atmosphere, and not like Rollo's for service or food. Just too far from home and office or anywhere I hang out to be a good value for me.

Food was good, and everything was clean. There was a wait, not worth the wait for plain common food. It's not the best area of town, watch your pocket book, if you get my drift.... Don't know why you would put a restaraunt in the projects.

Some of the best food for lunch in Huntsville. Always a crowd but it is always worth the wait. Plan on either getting their at 10:30 or 1:00 if you don't want to wait.

PROS: Best lunch food in Huntsville
CONS: The wait, no quick lunch

A fun atmosphere and the food is good. It reminds me of the 1950's diner. The service is prompt. If you are vegetarian, then you might want to reconsider this choice. While they have a wide selection of vegetables, they are seasoned with meat.
