Dr. Weber is fantastic. As for the dog living there 2 years, they treat there :rescued dogs and cats" like family, they are free to run around and play and are better taken care of than some household pets, why don't you actually visit or meet him before you judge anything. I rescue dogs and can tell, you its not easy to find adopters, it is very difficult and hard. As for the really bad review, take your prissy little yorkie with his outfit on (I am assuming) and go to a place that triple overcharges you, you idiot!

Dr. Webber knows his stuff! He was so helpful when I brought my kitten in to get shots and dewormed.. He is like Dr. Dolittle :) The reviews are very true. I just hope he doesnt retire soon... I would hate to have to take my cats anywhere else.

My dog needed some emergency care and like alot of others im sure in these times i was concerned about cost and how to pay, i did some searching and am so glad i came across these reviews, i called and the receptionist was very nice and concerned and Dr Webber was everything people have said, he is very outspoken but is an expert in his business and when i left i was completely satisfied with the service and cost was way better than i could of expected, i would recommend him to anyone there are very few if any like him...truely a excellent caring Dr.

We are new to Dr Weber's clinic and I've never experienced the quality of care he shows. The low low fees are icing on the cake.
Go visit this clinic just once and I guarantee you'll be a believer.HANDS DOWN the best vet in Birmingham!!!
We are with Great Dane rescue and need quality vet care frequently, he always charges a minimal amount for maximum treatment.
I highly recommend this clinic to anyone!

If you want a prissy spa for your pet, then go to a spa. If you want to give your pet the best medical care and treatment, then Eastwood Animal Clinic is the place for you. No, the office does not smell like perfume and flowers or even lysol, but why should it? Maybe some want to pay the high costs other vets charge so they can sit on a comfy couch with a trickling water fountain beside them and have the smell of a fresh linen breeze while drinking their starbucks, but personally, that is not why I go to the vet. I go to have my pets cared for and I like being able to feel comfortable that the vet knows exactly what he is talking about and is not prescribing any unnecessary treatment for my pets. My dog has been in there so many times with something I was sure going to be fatal and everytime I was sent home with a do it yourself treatment that worked like a charm. Once my dog was very sick and did need treatment. I went home and gave him the medicine and he was better the next day.

So, for the negative commenter below, I am with the receptionist -maybe Dr. Weber's office is not the place for you.

I was looking up Dr. Webber's # and was shocked to read the negative comment made by someone about him. We have been taking our animals to him for years and have many friends that also use him. He loves the animals and has always taken care of the many we have had through the years.If she had said he was gruff with her I would think ok...but the comments were totally off base. I trust him completely when it comes to our "other children". I don't know what we will do if he ever retires. His fees are very reasonable, we have never left feeling over charged for anything. As for the comment about getting something...I have had two animals that have had surgery there and we never once had a problem with any kind of infection!

I have never met a vet like Dr. Weber. He completely tells it like it is even if its not what you want to hear. It really shows that he is in it for the care of the animal. He has ethics and stongly discourages certain procedures (i.e. dew claws, wart removal, and removing of cat claws) which most vets would gladly take the money for. He is resonalbe with his fees and takes very good care of the animal. His staff is kind and compasionate and they recognize my animals when I bring them in. The clinic is always clean and smell like any other animal clinic (what do you expect anyway). I just can't say enough about Eastwood Animal Clinic, so I'll end it here and say that I would strongly recommend them. It will be a sad day when Dr. Weber retires.

My family has been taking our pets to Dr. Weber for over 30 years.He is truly in this business for the love of animals. The clinic has always been clean and smells of disinfectant unless an animal has just had an oopsie which is cleaned up promptly. We have never had a bad visit. Even when we have had to take very ill animals to him, we get excellent service the only thing bad about the visit is that we have an ill pet. We know that our pets get the very best care possible there. Dr. Weber tries everything possible to save every animal. We hope that Dr. Weber doesn't retire anytime soon.

Dr Webber has been my family vet all my life...He has cared for all my animals...He has been there for the good and the bad times...I would only trust my animals to this vet...He is wonderful and the only way I would use another vet is if it was an extream emergency...or if i was refered by Dr Webber himself...I highly recommend...

Dr. Webber is one of a vanishing breed of country vets who loves animals and just barely tolerates humans. He has been my vet for 25 years and I pray for his good health every night! His fees are so low that I don't know how he stays in business, but somehow he does. Everyone I send to him loves him too. I recommend him without reservation. He is an excellent diagnostician, creative prescriber, and deaf as door knob.

I would just like to say that Dr. Weber is a wonderful vet. And anyone who has been coming to that clinic knows that he will do anything he can to help an animal. The HOURS of OPERATION (meaning the hours that the clinic are opened) are Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri 8-12 and 2-6. On Wednesdays and Saturdays the hours are 8-12. The clinic is on a first come first serve basis. No appointments for treatment. The only drop offs that are taken on Wednesdays are EMERGENCIES. And Dr. Weber deals with EMERGENCIES FIRST! Anyone who has been coming to that clinic for anytime at all knows that Dr. Weber does not come in until 9:30 am. Those have been the hours of operation for many many years. As far as the receptionsts are concerned, they are great. And if one of them was a b*tch it was for just cause. They deal with no telling how many people a day, and if someone is rude to them, patience will only go so far. I would say that on most days they have patience of a saint, and I am in that place ALOT. If for some reason, someone is not happy with the clinic, I'm sure there are plenty of vets in the area who would be happy to cater to your every need. Dr. Weber is in this business for the animals, not for rude, pretentious people who think that the world and every one in it owe them a living. As for the "smell". Animals live there, it smells like animals live there. It smells like a vet clinic. I have never been in a vet clinic that smelled like the Sante fe day spa. I don't know where some people have been taking their pets if vet clinic smell is new to them. It is a clean place. It is cleaned constantly. Oh, and to report someone to the BBR, they actually have to do something wrong in business. Telling someone that the vet may not have time to see their pet because he has emergencies to deal with, that isn't wrong, that's just being honest. Because emergencies (just like at a human hospital) COME FIRST!

First of all i have been going to Dr. Weber for years. As for the previous review, if you are expecting a posh pet spa than you had probably go somewhere else. As for the smell, I've been in there plenty and it definitely smells like there are animals in there, but It doesn't smell like feces...

Animals smell like animals, not like channel no. 5.

This is a veterinary clinic that feels like the family doctor. They care about animals. They are willing to work with you and it seems to me they do their best to do keep costs down.
I found out about Dr. Weber through word of mouth, and continue to tell anyone that asks that he is the best vet in Birmingham. I will take my pets there as long as I'm around.

Dr. Weber is a phenomenal vet! He is not in the business for the money: he genuinely cares about animals and their people. His compassion is surpassed only by his knowledge. And that's saying something. The fees he charges for his services are more than reasonable. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
