My husband may be biased, but he says this is the best place to buy running shoes in town. The staff is knowledgeable, and if they don't have what you need, they will order it for you. They carry a modest amount of running apparel, as well as other sports equipment. It's a great family business. They've been around for years because they care about their customers.

I have been to Mac several times in the last couple of years, as my child gets to the age of becoming involved in every sport known to mankind. The staff is helpful, and the lady who helped us the last time took the time to sit with us and find out exactly what my daughter needed. She found all of the right equipment for us, and I never felt pressured to get things I didn't need. She even recommended another place for us to go for an item that they did not carry. I would recommend this place anytime you want something a little friendlier than most mall stores' "What do you want?!" approach. As is generally the case, when you stray from the big chain stores, the price tends to climb a little, and this place is no exception. But I personally think it's worth the extra couple bucks, and I will continue to use them in the future.

McLendon is conveniently located near Lagoon Park. I will drop in there often before a softball game to get last minute stuff. The staff is always helpful and knowledgable.
