Dr. Fuller and his staff have cared for our pets for almost 10 years - 2 dogs and 1 cat. We have had wonderful experiences and his compassion for the animals and owners is un-paralleled. We have one baby left and she is in his care now for a back problem. He knows our pets are "family" to us and treats them accordingly. I only wish I could find a doctor to treat me just as well. I recommend his clinic to anyone who needs a great vet because I trust him completely.

We have used Dr. Fuller (& his wonderful staff) for 3 years now with our Vizsla. We chose him because of his knowledge of the breed and his kind Christian spirit. Our dog LOVES to go to the vet! The staff treats him like a king and anytime our dog has been sick they see him right away. Yes, the wait can be long, but the service is outstanding, so it's worth it. We will never take our animals anywhere else!!

I have two English Springer Spaniels. Our newest edition (Bay) was sold to us with the puppy disease, parvo virus. Puppies have an 80%- 85% chance of survival depending on when it is caught.
We realized Bay was seriously sick on a Sunday afternoon. We knew Dr. Fuller was terrific because he is our older dogs vet, but we had no idea just how terrific. He puts his cell phone number on the Hope answering machine! We felt bad calling but our brand new puppy was fading. He met us at Hope Sunday afternoon and was very honest with us on Bay's condition. It was not good news. Bay was pretty much lifeless. Dr. Fuller jumped straight into action.
He explained the virus and sent us home. He started Bay on treatments that afternoon. I researched the disease all night and this is what I found:
Expect to pay upwards of $2000.00 for treatments, the disease is very hard to treat, dogs can have very poor health even if they beat it, etc.
Dr. Fuller proved all of these wrong. He saved Bay, the charges were no where near $2000, Bay came home in 3 days, and has not had any problems since.
If you love your pet, then use Hope Animal Clinic.

I adopted my dog, Buddy, from the Humane Society. I Googled Hope Animal Clinic; read the reviews here; and decided to take Buddy to Hope for her free initial exam. I was impressed.I adopted a cat, Maggie, from the Humane Society in Dothan - where I work. After a dismal diagnosis from the 'free' Vet down there about Gingivitis, (he even suggested putting her to sleep!) I took Maggie to see Dr. Fuller. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her.Buddy has since (1/8/09) broken her leg - probably while chasing a car. Dr. Fuller put a plate and screws in her hind leg at a very reasonable cost. Yesterday, 1/23/09, Buddy messed something up while chasing the neighbor's horse from our yard back to the pasture where it belonged. She can't use her broken leg at all now, so I've got to take her back to Hope this am. I know I'll get quick service from friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate people.Dr Fuller is my James Herriot :-)

Dr. Fuller and his facility are the best in the Birmingham Area. And if you read Genevieve G.'s review just know she has got to be nuts. I have used Dr. Fuller since he opened and will continue to go until he closes the doors. He is kind, compassionate, always remembers to ask about my children and husband. And always tells me to say hello to my father for him. He has the best pricing around town. And a great staff.

Dr. Fuller is the best vet around. He is a Christian man who is compassionate and truly has a love for God's creatures. His front office may get a little crowded (especially on Saturday mornings), but that's because so many of us bring our pets to him and would travel long distances to do so. You can feel secure that your pet is in the best hands possible when Dr. Fuller is in charge of their care.

dr. fuller saved my dog's life. before she was mine, she was a older rescue dog and was taken to dr. fuller to be treated for heartworms. i think alot of vets would have written her off, because of the great expensive of her treatment and her age since she was a stray. he saved her life and she is like a puppy again. we kept her as her vet. the staff is so friendly and they take great care to listen and diagnose your pets. true, he is getting more popular and there is usually a wait. i've been in the back to the boarding area, it's a typically boarding area with pens and cages, definitely not a foo-foo pet spa, but the animals are not mistreated and are calm and well-maintained. The staff truly care for the animals and i don't hesitate to take my dog there for her care or boarding.

We had taken our dog to another vet twice for the same problem. He was having very itchy skin and just constantly scratching, but nothing helped so we decided to take him to Dr. Fuller. He changed the medicines and now he is doing so much better. This was just a few days ago and there is already a big difference. He had even lost his appetite and now he is eating well again. We will definately continue to use Hope for both of our dogs.

I took our boxer, Apollo, to Dr. Fuller in June last year. He had fallen down the back stairs off our rather high deck. Dr. Fuller diagnosed a torn ACL and did surgery later that week. Apollo is an "older" dog but has done quite well. Apollo had been diagnosed with cancer by another vet in Brent, AL. Every little bump she would say "well it's probably just the cancer". This frustrated my husband to no end. We are so happy to have found Dr. Fuller. He always takes the time to speak with my husband and myself. We have another boxer, Sam, who is a rescue from E MS Animal Rescue. Sam has gotten the greatest treatment also. So whoever this negative person is who left a bad review - he must be delusional. Dr. Fuller and his staff are the VERY BEST.

We first took our poodle to Dr. Fuller when she was misdiagnosed at another clinic that we had used for years. Unfortunately, by the time we got her to Dr. Fuller it was too late to save her. She died of cancer (again misdiagnosed originally). He performed surgery on her late one night (had to fit her in last minute), called us at 11:30 p.m. to tell us she was not going to make it and asked if we wanted to see her that night, we did; it was after midnight by the time we got there. We took her home the next day and she died a day later; that was 5 years ago. That was the most compassionate gesture we had experienced when it comes to our pets. He is awesome, as well as the rest of his staff. Unfortunately, because he is so good and compassionate his practice is growing, while on one hand that is good, it does make for longer waits to see him in a rushed atmosphere. I travel 20 miles to take my, now, 4 poodles to him. And my dogs are not treated like farm animals while there.

This vet is neither heroic nor kind. He is a small minded person who treats all animals as though they are farm animals. The boarding facilites are disgusting. You should walk back with your dog if you were ever to board your pet and you will come to the same conclusion.
He also killed my friend's pet through a botched tail dobbing surgery, but "not to worry" he would replace the pet. Wow, what a great guy!

We found Dr Fuller when our great dane, Maggie, was diagnosed by another vet as being a hermaphrodite (male and female). We were getting ready to head to Auburn for a specialist consult when we found Dr. Fuller. No vet in the area had ever done the surgery to correct Maggie's issues, but Dr. Fuller had seen a case in a horse before. Great Dane and horse were close enough for us! Maggie had a successful surgery and is a happy, healthy "it" these days. Dr. Fuller and his staff know us by name and love to see Maggie each time we are in the office.

I went to Dr. Fuller several years ago with one of my dogs and found that I'll never take them to anyone else. My dog had a problem with bulging discs which was misdiagnosed by another vet and he had been suffering terribly. Dr Fuller correctly diagnosed the problem and has since done 2 surgeries for torn ACLs in both legs. He's friendly and compassionate and really cares for the animals. I would recommend Hope Animal Clinic to anyone, and have several times.

Words cannot convey the high quality of care and compassion pets will receive from Dr. Fuller. I am a professional pet sitter and have no qualms about taking my pets to him. We have two cats and he has cared for my other pets in the past. I have probably used five other vets in Jefferson County and would not even consider taking my pets to them again. Dr. Fuller is highly educated and I have not found a vet more qualified than him

Dr Fuller has been our dogs' vet for 7 years now. He has done surgery on both our dogs numerous times. The staff is very friendly. The charges are reasonable. He truly does love animals and keeps the owner informed of all the treatment options for their pet. The only reason I did not put 5 stars was because his practice has grown such that there is more of a wait to see him. I highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great vet for their family pet.

Dr. Fuller was so great when my dog Lucy was sick last year. He went to every length to treat her and when nothing worked he was so compassionate when I had to have her put down. She was with me for 11 years and he was teary eyed watching her slip away. A year later we have finally gotten another dog and Hope Animal Clinic is where we will go for him too. I recommend Dr. Fuller for anyone in the area with pets who consider them members of the family because Dr. Fuller treats them like they are.

I have used this veterinary clinic for a little over 4 years now. Dr. Fuller is the primary vet and owner of it. When you go and see him, you are sure to know that your animal is taken care of. Dr. Fuller takes time out for each furry little patient that comes to the door. Recently, I took my animal to another clinic for a life threatening illness. That clinic not only misdiagnosed her but charged me an arm and a leg to do it! I took my fur baby to Dr. Fuller and he immediately found the problem, treated her, and was fair in price for the oh so expensive treatment. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic if you are looking for top notch care in the city.
