Linda's School Of Beauty is ok if Linda or instructor is there.

by Linda A.

Usually I get fair service there.Last December, about 3 days before Christmas,I requested a haircut. The girl they assigned me was too busy playing with fellow students to tear herself away, resulting in an uneven cut.I told her it was uneven, then she grudgingly attempted to even it,but I was afraid she would take off all my hair. The man that owns the place pulled his nose out of the paper and barely looked at my hair and said it was fine.I went home and asked my family's opinion and was told I had an uneven mullet. The shop was closed for Christmas so I had to go through the holiday wearing a hat until they opened.Later Linda fixed the botched haircut and it was fine.

Former Student

by Heather C.

I graduated from Linda's School of Beauty, The girls there are wonderful and the instructor, Mrs. Rowe is great. But the owner is awful she is impossible to work with and I have had many complaints about her. The building is run down and none of the products are kept by there shelf life. And you have to be crazy to get a manicure &/or pedicure there!

oops!

by june w.

I went last feb. to get a perm & was well satisfied so I decided to go back for another one today. Wish I hadn`t. I couldn`t get the student I ask for but was told that another student would give me one & do a real good job. First of all, she was sloppy with her work and didn`t know what she was doing. Being a retired hairdresser I kept an eye on her and had to give her tips along the way & thank goodness I did because there is no telling what the outcome would have been if I hadn`t. It was evident that the instructors were not watching or caring what was happening, No wonder the students are not learning anything. Also, she was slow and the final outcome was awful. Before the girl put the perm solution on, my rods were falling out of my hair & I suggested to just take my hair down & I would leave. One of the instructors heard this & came over and talked me out of it and started rolling my hair all over again. After the perm solution and the neuterlizer( which was left on too long), I had two curls in front that did not curl and that had to be redone. Needless to say I was not going to stay for a haircut ( which is suppose to be included in the price of the perm) but I paid the full price & was ever so glad to get out of there. I want be going back, thats for sure...

Better than what I first expected

by Mrs. F.

A friend of mine had referred me to Linda's School. I have to admit, they have done the best color job I've ever had done to my hair. I have been going back for over 2 years now. While once in a while my hair cut isn't the world's greatest, my color has ALWAYS been spectacular. (and you can get a decent cut anywhere ... good color jobs are getting harder to come by!)

My daughter enjoys getting her nails done here as well. Their students have always been nothing but courteous and professional in every way.

You get what you pay for

by Cathy M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,248

My husband wanted a haircut and didn't want to pay a lot. He went here for the $5 cut. I had to do a lot of repair work. It wasn't cut evenly on the top or sides. It wasn't tapered well on the back.

You get what you pay for.

PROS: Nothing
CONS: Horrible cut

Wonderful

If your looking for a great cut, Lindas School of Beauty in Fultondale is the place to go. The hairstylists are just beginning but they have a supervisor that makes sure everything goes smoothly. I have been there and was a bit hesitant, but I loved my haircut! The prices are great and the service is exceptionally well. They also do men's hair, perms, coloring, manicures, and pedicures!

PROS: Location, Price, Friendliness
