If i could leave it with NO stars i would! Ive had service with charter for only 3 or 4 months. Since installation I've had our living room receiver replaced once, they r scheduled to come out and replace it AGAIN! I"ve had my sons receiver replaced twice, and when they come to replace living room receiver they will replace my sons! Those are the only 2 receivers in our house!!! We are currently on hour number 2 of an area outage. Our bill is ALWAYS wrong! We never get a bill in the mail, we have a reminder set to pay the bill every month or it wouldn't get paid due to the lake of bill! When calling today i called 6 different numbers to get assistance reporting the outage, then got someone who barely spoke english, had me on hold forever, never apologized, and had the WORST customer service EVER!! I HATE this company! When i was with brighthouse i NEVER had these problems! If i wasnt in a contract with Charter i would just resort back to the dark ages and do without cable, internet, and home phone or i would find another provider. Sadly we are only zoned for charter or a satalight provider. We dont get service, customer service, working equipment... But they damn sure get their money! DONT GET CHARTER IF U CAN HELP IT!!! IT WILL B THE BIGGEST MISTAKE U WILL MAKE!!!

Charter has been a bad company all around,when they took over all the prices went up and service went down.We pay almost $200.00 a Month just to get to see TV,most of the time you can not get all you pay for,they charge for every little thing,even to come and work on there own cables,you get charged to see HD. Now did you ever get charged to see color TV?? I had ATT for my internet paying $15.00 a Month so they talked me into changing to Charter for $45.00 a Month and now my internet is always down. Over the past 3 Months they have sent out 7 men to fix all the problems and they still are not fixed,but they want there payment on time every Month.Now all my neighbors around 80 of them are looking into finding another company,and when was the last time you got to talk to a real person when you call for help? How much money do you think this company make from all of us?

When a tech showed up to connect my cable they did not know what they were doing. Had to wait until another day for another tech to show up. I work 7a-7p so I have to use the drop box usually to pay my bill. I dropped off a money order at the Monticello Dr office of $500 dollars & it's been a month an it still hasn't been posted. I can't get any help what so ever. No one will help me at all. I even dropped the receipt of the money order off. Maybe I will own Charter soon.

I recently had my cable installed by one of charters contractors and he was awesome. I have had problems with my TV picture for as long as I can remember. Even with Knology it was bad.. I just switched back to charter and the tech showed up on time , nicely dressed, and very professional.. I have realized the ONDEMANd sometimes has its problems,(but noone is charged for ONDEMAND so it's more of a luxury).. He set up my internet and its never been faster. He found a problem in my attic which was causing the signal in my house to drop.. Note that I have had numerous other techs from both companies and none found the problem this tech did.. If charter had more techs like tech 8431(cant remember his name only this # was on my work order)..

I'm just going to give you a list of things that went wrong with my transfer order and subsequent DVR upgrade: Disconnected my cable earlier than requested due to me not listening to the customer (dis)service reps upsell (I was at work and didn't have time to listen), didn't bring the additional DVR box (as requested) on the date of transfer, rescheduled for the next day for JUST that...tech showed up without DVR box and could do nothing that day; waited all morning for nothing as a result...and he didn't call [in advance] like he was supposed to, he just SHOWED UP...EMPTY HANDED mind you! Side note: no apologies were ever given!!! Caled customer service immediately and was told that [all of a sudden], there was a waiting list and they had no DVR boxes (Mind you the tech that showed up HAD a box, but couldn't give it to me cause he said he "needed it for his next call". Mind you, they were supposed to have this to me the day before so I SHOULD have been a priority.) Said I would be put on a waiting list...a week later, I heard nothing...just happened to call and they didn't have me listed on a "waiting list" (which I knew all along, there wasn't one...but according to Kim in the Mexico call center, there was). Rescheduled, but the tech came earlier than the window of 5-7 that they gave and said I had to reschedule again. I'm at the point where charter and their incompetent employees can KISS MY A$$! I will be sooo happy when they are bought out by another company or just goes completely bankrupt. With their lack of customer service skills, it WILL happen!

I recently bought a new home and regretfully decided to use Charter Comm as my Internet and cable provider. The home had extremely old wiring so I payed extra to have the house rewired along with the normal installation fees. After too much of the worst connection imaginable, I took a look under the house trying to trouble shoot. As I followed the wiring, I realized that instead of rewiring like I paid extra for, the end connections of the old lines were replaced to make it appear as though they had done their job. Fast forward WEEKS to get someone out to correct their "accidental" mistake...Guys show up and start drilling huge holes in the hardwood floors like they were hoping crude oil would start blasting up. Obviously holes must be made, but I was expecting maybe some sort of cover to put over the giant holes through the floors throughout the house-WRONG! I have nice dirty wires coming straight through the floor with a giant gap all the way around. This may come in handy in case my house ever fills with water. It's also nice to know that if someone happen to be lost under my house-I have the ability to easily communicate with them; even supply them with food and water until help arrives. Thanks Charter. If anyone is still reading, this is where Charter really started living up to their "great" reputation. Let me rewind a little bit and say that at this point in time, we had been living at the house for a better part of a year-meaning that we had been receiving our bill at this residence. Miraculously, (about two months before the drilling/wiring issues) the bill just stopped coming. The first month I thought maybe it will just come later, then out of sight out of mind took over. Next month rolled around and no bill. At this point in time I remembered that no bill came the previous month and called. I was told that the bill had been sent both months. After several times of being told that "I received the bill", the worker realized that the bills were sent to the wrong address. This wouldn't be that big of an issue for me if...uhm...WE HADN'T ALREADY BEEN RECEIVING THE BILL AT THE CORRECT ADDRESS! Then they were trying to convince me that it was my fault- let me commend your reasoning skills Charter! How nice life must be if no matter how ridiculous your argument may be, you are right, remarkable! After several calls and working my way up the genius Charter chain of command, five (yes FIVE) dollars of a penalty was waived. HOORAY ALL IS BETTER NOW!! Good job management, way to keep the victims--I mean customers--satisfied and still pocket money that wasnt owed to you; throw a huge five dollars at them when the penalties and fees that your company created is about four times as much. Kind of like saying "We are worng...but only five dollars wrong...not the whole penalty that we created wrong".

Not really a big fan of charter. They have messed my bill up so many times and actually finding someone that knows what they are talking about is non-existant. The best thing about charter is the internet...when it works right. If I could get Knology were I live I would.

The quality of the cable is fine. I love the high speed Internet connection. If you do have trouble, watch out. Trying to get someone to come out in a timely manner is unheard of. I'm still waiting for some work to be done. The block window time really doesn't work. The call to see if your home and then they show up hours later. Trying to work and get your cable fixed is almost impossible.

we recently had trouble with our cable. I had and appointment window from 8am-10am. No one called or showed up until 1145. If i had missed my appt then I would have had to wait days for a new appt. However, they were very late with no consequences. by the time the tech showed up he woke up my napping 1yr old. I received no apology.

I always have trouble with the digital cable. Either its fuzzy or I can't get the Movie I have order from on Demand. Not very On Demand If you ask me.

I have never had much of a problem with Charter. The signal is almost always on and if it goes out, it is fixed quickly. The only problem is when you do need a technician you have to schedule a 4 hour period away from work to meet them. Also, their technicians are not well trained. I diagnosed my latest problem, when the tech said there was nothing wrong. Actually it was the high speed modem going bad.
