Olde Auburn Ale House

I don't know if the Ale House is still in operation or not, rumor was they were going out of business and if true that is a shame. This is / was like the only authentic college bar (or pub) in Auburn. Other bars are to get drunk and be overcrowded and crap like that. This place was much more mellow, where they brewed their own beer, and had LIVE music (bars in Auburn hardly ever have live music and when they do, it usually is cover band 80s crap). Parking was always the biggest issue with this place. But I think the reason it may have went out of business was it's location. You can't see it from a street. You had to know about it. And if you knew about it, you loved it.

This place is a graduate student's dream. Most kids wouldn't appreciate the "pub" idea, but adults are drawn to this place. The location is awesome, the drinks are good, the service is great, and the company is the best! Music isn't loud. It's more of a restaurant than a bar, but there is still lots of drinking to be done!
