Pet Supplies Plus

It's unfortunate that a couple of you had such a bad experience with PSP, but it isn't surprising considering how poorly run the store was prior to being sold. You shouldn't have these issues now that it's under new management. If you do, let them know and I think you'll find that your problems are remedied. I was glad to see a PSP in AL. We have them all over MI and they have been my store of choice for so long I can't even fathom shopping anywhere else. Here's my reasoning...... They will meet or beat "any" advertised price, so Petco and PetsMart rarely if ever have better pricing. They double coupons up to $1.00....how many stores do "that?" They special order, so even if they don't have what you need in stock, they'll get it for you and it usually arrives in less than a week. Also, I've definitely noticed that the store has undergone some "serious" improvement over the last year. I was in there a long while back and noticed how dirty it was, but have you seen it recently...huge improvement. Also, I did a bit of research on the new owner of the store and found out that he's a huge animal rescue guy. In fact he facilitated a huge grass roots rescue operation during Hurrican Katrina called DRAR. They rescued over 8000 animals during the disaster. I posted a pic for you guys to see. I feed my dog Nutro and PSP has a great selection. After pricing various stores throughout town, I've found they have the most competitive pricing, also.

This is a really neat store. They have plenty to choose from and the animal displays are clean and attractive. I like the fact that you can take your pet in with you to shop.

The last time I needed dog shampoo, I decided to go to Pets Supplies plus because I had a coupon for that store. I walked in the store, spent about 15 minutes in there, bought what I needed and walked out, without once being asked by an employee if they could help me in any way or even just acknowledging me as a customer. In fact, the manager of the store didn't even know how to use my coupon when ringing up the shampoo I purchased. She called another employee over to show her how to do it. The store smells bad also. Montgomery offers several other pet supplies stores. I don't recommend this one!

When I went in the store I could not find exactly what I was
looking for and additionally could not find anyone that could assist me. I did not find the store accomodating enough to come back.

This store has an awesome selection. If you can't find it there, you can't find it. However, prices are not as good as they could be. I can actually order on line with shipping cheaper. Staff is very helpful and check out a breeze.
