We love pick your own farms; and apparently, Scott's used to be a lovely place for a family outing. The owners are now elderly; and from what I was told by locals, the daughter (or daughter-in-law) is managing the farm. We made arrangements in advance with one of the elderly owners to drive two hours to the location with our two small children. We arrived as scheduled, just to be harshly run off by the daughter, who argued that we never spoke with the elderly owner. My poor children still refer to her as the "mean peach lady." We will never return.

Scott's orchard is a real treasure. Fresh of the tree apples of many varieties, apple cider, apple cider vinegar, apple cider slushies, sweet potatoes and honey. What could be better? The pleasant drive and the warm and helpful people who serve you there.

I can remember going to scotts orchard in the fall since i was a very young child. They have several different varieties f apples available. I really enjoy the cider in the season that it is available. They are located very close to taft tn even though they are located in alabama. great fall destination
