This place is BY Far the most awful place I've ever delt with! I too had problms with them being incredibly rude, asking me to come in 3 times for fittings even though I was told there would only be one since they are custom made and I live 4 hours away. I've been in tons of weddings where dresses weren't "custom" and never needed 3 fittings or alterations. I was hung up on, yelled at, and treated horribly. Not only that but when I got my dress the zipper was crooked, the seams didn't match, and the zipper color didn't match the fabric! Not things I want to see in a dress i paid $250 for! I NEVER wore the dress again. DON'T use them if you are looking to have a stress-free wedding, QUALITY products, GOOD customer service and satisfaction, and love your bridesmaids. Just awful...

La Shae is not one that I would recommend if the bride wants a less stressful wedding. During the time I worked with them, they ignored hone calls, changed appointment dates numerous times, lied about dates and times, and acted as if all of the bridesmaids were doing them favors. For the amount of money to be paid for these dresses, the service is horrible. Customer service is not their top priority. La Shea needs to get their act together and then try to properly run a business! I would never recommend them to anyone!

This place is a complete JOKE! I have never in my life encountered such rude people trying to run a business. I left a comment before only to see today that it was deleted. How conniving! Take a hint, and don't waste your time, money, and effort on poorly made dresses and an owner that will tell you that you've gained weight to try to hide their faults.

My daughter asked La Shea to make bridesmaid dresses for a wedding originally scheduled may 09The date was moved to may 2010 my daughter called in June and spoke with an employee( or someone covering the phone in in February 09 to tell them the wedding had been postponed. Kristy la Shea denies that this call took place but I have the phone record. We received a voice message asking us to contact La-Shea's regarding their dresses.My wife called and explained that now the wedding was off .and we would not need the dresses La-Shae had been paid @ $300,00 so far-we ask if we owed her anything else.we never asked for a refund . she was rude to my wife very rude. Kristy told my wife the dresses had already been made she denied again that my daughter had called back in February my wife ask what can we do to make this right do we owe her anything else . Kristy's response was hateful and condescending she said " no I have the dresses and the $300.00. then My daughter called a few days later to tell La Shea that she did in fact call and tell someone at the shop that the wedding had been postponed. Kristy was very rude to my daughter and all but called her a liar.Then Kristy hung up on my daughter.My wife nor Daughter ever ask her for a refund. I feel it is unprofessional and very childish. If the message did not get to Kristy it is not our fault. Kristy told my wife that she never has anyone cover the phone that it is only her. if that is true I called today June 12,2009 ask to speak to Kristy and was told that she was on her way to t-town to do a fitting either she was lieing about not having help or she lied abut being on her way to t-town because my number came up on caller Id. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and I will tell anyone i know not to use these rude unprofessional people at La-Shea. My daughter had to suffer not only the loss of some one she really thought was someone he wasn't but deal with rude very childish people in the Bride business Both the people she got her brides dress from and La-shea, BOTH were given a 6 month notice that the wedding had been postponed for a year.Now anyone with any common sense would have rescheduled a fitting because so much could change in a year. we are sorry for any inconvenience to La Shea or Kristy the whole situation was out of our control.unfortunately the Boy my Daughter feel in love with was not who she nor we thought he was BUT neither was Kristy La-Shea,

This company will take your money and screw you over as fast as they can! They told me they were good Christians and now I find that so hard to believe!!! There are so many other businesses out there that are honest and interested in pleasing their customers.

I got married almost two years ago and had my mom's dress, wedding book and guest book made here. My mom's dress turned out beautifully - very unique and "her." They worked well with her as far as fittings and getting it finished on time. My wedding book and guest book are also beautiful and I get compliments all the time just because they are so different - not just something from Hallmark. My brother got married a year after I did and after searching all the shops and department stores my mom decided to go back to LaShae and get her dress there for his wedding too! Again, it was beautiful and everything turned out great! I recently tried to get a monogrammed towel wrap from another gift shop in Montgomery and they messed it all up - wrong color, wrong mongram, etc. They offered little sympathy and even gave me a hard time about a refund. I went into LaShae and they had exactly what I wanted and I had no qualms ordering it from them based on my past experience. I can't wait till it's ready! This is a great unique shop with beautiful products. Highly recommended!

Not to make this personal, but after reading what Leigh J had to say, I quote, "But please remember, if you gain twenty pounds after being measured or if you happen to get knocked up before your dress is made, chances are your dress probably isn't going to fit very well. So if you are going to bash LaShae about ill fitting dresses make sure you're telling the whole truth and have enough character to post your name and e-mail."
I am just stunned! I assume that she is referring to my post regarding getting pregnant during the time that my dress was to BE MADE, which was not until 4 days before the wedding. I did not "get knocked up" first and honestly it is NONE of LASHAE'S business if someone does decide to get pregnant during the time that they are having a dress made. LaShae is only there to provide good customer service to PAYING customers. It just is astonishing that NO ONE, I REPEAT, NO ONE from LaShae will take responsibility for what they do WRONG and HOW THEY SPEAK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. After being in the wedding this weekend and speaking to the other 6 bridesmaids, NOT ONE SINGLE GIRL HAD ONE GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT LASHAE OR THEIR DRESSES that cost $240. We even had bridesmaids who had to swap pieces of the dress just to get them on due to poor alterations. But let me guess, it is the bridesmaids fault...I am sure that LaShae would just say that they gained 15 pounds. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! The BBB has been contacted regarding the shop and let's all just hope that they can close this place down. I AM JUST DISGUSTED!

I was very excited about getting my custom made bridesmaid dress for a recent spring wedding. I thought the cost was a little expensive, but then realized there would be no need for alterations. So that was a plus. The bride picked out beautiful colors and we got to choose our style. How exciting....wrong...the customer service at LaShea was terrible for our bridal party. Appointments kept getting changed with only a few hours notice. I live two hours away from Montgomery and came to my Saturday morning appointment about thirty minutes early, where I was informed my appointment was cancelled. I think the appropriate thing for them to do was to call me and inform me, not wait until I got there. I am glad that I had to be in town for another function. My dress was sent to me by way of UPS. It arrived with the white lining unfinished (unattached). My dress had a side slit and the white lining kept showing on my aqua dress. Also at the wedding I noticed that all of our dressing had different color zippers (white, gray, black) when they were all the same color dress. I just found that odd, it seems as if they would have a standard color zipper for each of their fabrics.

As a response to the previous poster, Leigh, I believe it is...the announymous poster was also a bridesmaid in the wedding party. I do not blame her for posting announymously after the way she was treated by the store owner. I am glad you had a pleasant experience, but the public should know that many people have not. A wedding is a time of joy, a bridesmaid dress should be the least of the bride's worries.

LaShea has a great concept but poor execution. The owner should really work on their customer service and organization. I've said before this is a great investment opportunity for someone in the Montgomery area.

I couldnt believe my luck when I stumbled across this jewel of a bridal shop by luck. Never have I ever been treated with more dignity and respect! All the staff were extremely helpful in aiding me with my every whimsical request. From the fitting to when I received my dress I was astonished at their skill and knowledge of every detail. I have 12 bridesmaids and each of them told me just how wonderful their experiences were as well with their fittings. If you are looking for a bridal shop accept no substitutes! no matter what the distance... get yourself to lashea!!!

I was married in May and had my bridesmaids dresses, mother-of-the-bride dress, and bridal book all made at LaShea. Everytime we went in they knew us and were eager to spend as much time as it took to assist us thoughout the designing process. Christy, Betty, and Heather were all so helpful. I have had so many people ask me where I bought my bridesmaid dresses and who designed them. I was so honored to have my girls wear LaShea dresses. They turned out gorgeous! On top of that, I've never seen my mom look more beautiful! They did wonderfully and the pictures turned out great! I was so proud and would recommend LaShea to anyone!

My sister was married recently and had her bridesmaids dresses, ring bearer pillow, and guest book made by LaShea. My sister chose to have her bridesmaids dresses made by LaShea because of the superior quality of their work and because of our past positive experiences with their business. LaShea bent over backwards to accommodate me in having my bridesmaid dress made and fitted. I must point out that I did not yet know I was pregnant when they first took my measurements, but was nearly 7 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. In addition, my husband and I live in Kansas. LaShea was wonderful to work with. I called in my measurements from Kansas two weeks before the wedding. I arrived in Alabama one week before the wedding, had one dress fitting on the Tuesday before the wedding on Saturday, and I picked up my dress on the Thursday before the wedding! The dress fit perfectly and was absolutely beautiful! LaShea was completely understanding of my unusual circumstances and treated me with the utmost respect throughout the entire process. The custom-made dress was $220. You can expect to pay at least that much for a bridesmaid dress ordered off the rack at a bridal shop once you take it somewhere else to be altered. Also, my mothers dress was custom-made by LaShea, and she looked beautiful. I mentioned that my family had done business with LaShea before. The dress that my mother wore to my wedding was made by LaShea, and I also had my wedding book and ring bearer pillow made there too. I was 100% satisfied with everything. Again, every experience I have ever had with LaShea has been absolutely wonderful. I am the wife of an Army officer it goes without saying that my husbands career requires frequent moves. I have dealt with many different businesses in many different states, and I can honestly say that the customer service at LaShea rivals that of any other business I have ever dealt with. The ladies there are so sweet. I have never been in their store when I wasnt immediately acknowledged or asked if there was anything I needed help with. I will continue to do business at LaShea and will recommend them without hesitation. In fact, I will soon begin shopping for items from their baby line!

The father of the bride usually doesnt get to express many opinions, but I wanted to talk about our familys experience with LaShea during two weddings in the past two years. My youngest daughter was married recently. It was a large wedding with ten bridesmaids. LaShea designed and made all of the bridesmaids dresses, the dress for the mother of the bride, the wedding book, and the ringbearer pillow. The stores staff went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate the bridesmaids with fittings, etc. They were especially accommodating considering that all of the bridesmaids lived more than 50 miles away.

Many of our friends told us that the bridesmaids dresses and the mother of the brides dress helped make this one of the most beautiful fall weddings they had ever attended. The dresses were reasonably priced (just over $200 for custom-designed, custom-made dresses).

This was our second wedding experience with LaShea. Our oldest daughter was married in 2005. We had the mother of the bride dress, wedding book, and ringbearer pillow made at LaShea for that wedding. The bridesmaids dresses were purchased at a national chain store. Our daughter commented later that she wished she had consulted LaShea before she made her decision about bridesmaids dresses.

I am not familar with this website, but I would like to give my opinion of Lashea. I am very surprised to see that Lashea has gotten any bad reviews. I have only heard wonderful reviews from distant friends and family. And from having been to a wedding that was dressed with Lashea, I was anything but appalled, I was actually very impressed.

LaShea came highly recommended from several of my new mother-in-law's friends. I fell in love with the quaint little shop and thier staff from the moment I walked in. Not only did they create a one-of-a kind design for my bridesmaids, they also created my mother a beautiful silk two- piece suit as well. We had looked everywhere for my mother, and had just about given up until we found LaShea.
Don't miss out on their Custom Silk Wedding Books or monogrammed ring bearer pillows either. I recieved so many compliments on my dresess and book. I even took my sister's bridesmaid dress on my honeymoon.

I was very satisfied with my bridesmaids dresses. And the girls loved them because they could wear them to another occasion, whether it be a wedding or a formal! The detailing of the dresses was my favorite part. The handwork was amazing and I received many compliments on them! More so than my wedding dress!! haha! I highly recommend LaShea of Montgomery to anyone!
