I took my family in here last Sunday and they all loved it. My mother in-law said that this is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the area.
5The sushi here is mixed. I would say mediocre on many counts. The futo maki is good, though. Where it shines is in offering more traditional Japanese fare. The ramen is great, and the pick-your-own combo plates are always fun. It's nice to see a Japanese restaurant in the South that is more than a joint for Hibachi steak and chicken.

Pros: Not the run-of-the-mill hibachi joint
Cons: Sometimes the service is slow.
The variety here is amazing! It's the only place in the south that I've found traditional Japanese curry. The wife and I had the ""Mirror plate"", with it's 8 choices of items. Nothing was really bad, and several were very good! The salmon has been frozen, but this is Alabama, so that's to be expected I guess.
Give it a shot, you won't be disapppointed!

Pros: WIDE variety of fare
Cons: None really
We were here for sushi and dinner. As the only Japanese restaurant near where we were staying (near I-565 through Huntsville), it had a decent selection of curries, noodles, and sushi. The service was prompt and there was no rush to leave. Dinner prices were $10-$15.
