You aren't allowed to be in the same room with your child - I think this might be an Alabama thing. We came from Northern Virginia- DC area where the children's dentists allowed the parent to at least be in the same room with the child during any procedure - I won't go into all the other good differences. Anyway. =- I guess they do OK - but I wouldn't know unless my children knew to alert me about something. The waiting room - other than the paint on the wall doesn't seem kid friendly. A lot of closed doors and a wall of glass between you and any staff you talk to.

All 3 of my children go to D4C and they are always happy with their visits. We've been very pleased since day 1 of taking the children to these 3 dentists. The assistants, hygienists and office staff are all just as friendly as the Dr.s themselves. I highly recommend this pediatric dental office.

My daughter did not mind going to the doctor until she started going to this dentist office. You cannot go back there with your children and the staff is always rude to her. The receptionist does not speak to you and you don't even see the dentist. Therefore, you don't know which dentist your child is ever seeing. Needless to say we are in the process of finding a new dentist office.

My 6 yr. old was completely traumatized by dentistry prior to his visit here. The staff is wonderful, they make dentist visits a lot easier for parents.

Our first child was born with an enamel deficiency and we were referred to Dr. Vann through our pediatrician well before her 3rd birthday, when they normally begin seeing children. It was right around her 1st birthday that we carried her in that first time. After checking her over, he met with us for a consultation. He told us that his goal was to help keep those front teeth until she turned 3 and her speech pattern would likely be set by then. We asked about all sorts of things and options, but his recommendation was to bond the teeth and if and when they began to chip to call as soon as possible so that they could redo them. We did that for over the 3 years. Sometimes going into the office as often as a couple of times in one month. Shortly after she turned 5, they decided we could cap them, which was a little shocking to us, since they would likely come out within the next year or so, but we agreed. His office is always full and they don't always run as close to scheduled times as one would like, but they do have the office set up for the kids to have things to do while they wait. My biggest complaint about them, is that you don't see the doctors that often. Word is carried back and forth, between you and the assistant to the doctors and vise versa. We have and do continue to use them, for both of our children because we trust them. If you are looking for a dentist where you can accompany your child during the visit, you probably need to look elsewhere, as here the children are carried back to the exam rooms by the assistants. The staff has always been friendly and has worked hard to make going to the dentist as enjoyable as possible for our girls. The doctors and staff do a good job and we are over all pleased with all of them.

Dentists 4 Children is wonderful. The staff and the doctors are all very good with the children and they have created an atmosphere that makes the children relax. I was a patient of Dr. Vann's from ages 6 - 19 and when it came time for my own children to start going to the dentist, I was delighted to know he was still practicing. My kids actually like going to the dentist and if that is not a great recommendation than I don't know what is.

PROS: Great staff
CONS:
