I used to love this store. Over the past three months, the concept of customer service has been abandoned completely. They keep one "full service" cash register open, but the girl filing her fingernails is always very quick to point out that you can check yourself out in the self-service lanes. Of course, when the prices ring up incorrectly, she can't do anything but send you to the service desk. The service desk staff is always VERY NICE, and always apologetic, but once you get to that point, honestly, it doesn't matter. If you are lucky enough to get someone else to check you out, you may as well bag your own groceries unless you want your meats to bleed all over your dry goods. Not sure what happened, but I'm driving across town to Kroger now. With gas prices, it is almost stupid to do that, but going to Winn Dixie isn't worth being treated like an inconvenience to the staff.

Weekly sales items very good, ex: $0.24/lb watermelon, which ended up being very fresh and delicious. Regular prices vary, from "fabulour deal" to "way overpriced." A member card is needed to obtain sale prices. If you don't have one, you can obtain it at the register instantly. The managers are helpful and quick to correct any pricing error problems. However, unlike Kroger's, I was not offered the product for free or a further discount. Winn Dixie can be a little sneaky on their big promotions, watch the end dates carefully.

The store is convenient to those who live on Wire Rd. or University Dr. It is clean; the employees are very friendly and helpful. The produce department is somewhat lacking. The prices are not bad, get a shopping card.
PROS: quality product (except some produce)
CONS: A leak in an aisle has been there for months
