The DeFalco's family has based our business on three basic principles; always use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, make DeFalco's Italian Deli and Grocery a place like no other, and always treat people like family. For over three generations, these three principles have embodied what DeFalco's Italian Deli and Grocery is all about.

Editorial by Citysearch

In Short
The entrance of this incessantly busy, invariably crowded grocery/sandwich shop greets customers with the wafting aroma of fresh bread and garlic, simmering tomato sauce and Italian cold cuts just like nana's kitchen. There's a limited selection of beer and wine as well as deli standbys such as Foxes U-bet egg creams and Dr. Brown's soda. The cannolis are made on the spot, just like the meatballs, sausages, sauces and fresh mozzarella.

The Inside Scoop

A real Italian deli

by Karen F. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 655

Growing up in the Northeast I was used to Italian delis -- in Arizona they're few and far between, but DeFalco's is the real thing. It's family owned and operated. They offer a large selection of sandwiches and other dishes, and they have a variety of grocery items as well.

great place

by I D. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 666

This place is such a great place to get what you need to make the perfect italian meal. Prices are reasonable and if not, it is definetely worth the extra money.

Yummy

This place is the real deal, folks. It's a little hole in the wall type of restaurant, but it without a doubt a High Quality Authentic Italian Deli. Lunch is busy busy busy, though. I suggest the off hours. Aaaaand, they do sell that amazing authentic Italian Lavazza Super Crema Espresso there! My fav is the Tomato & Mozzerella Salad, and I order a side of Balsamic Vinegar.

Good Grief... Just now typing that made my stomach grumble, I kid you not!

No flavor

by CharlesDanna

After seeing this site pop up on citysearch everytime I log on, I decided to visit. The food was not good. My wife's sausage sandwich was not flavorable. My noodles were overcooked and the sauce taseted like it came out of a can. Not impressed. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Maybe they pay a lot for the publicity on citysearch. Not impressed

Pros: Lot of italian products for cooking

Cons: Not good food

Best Deli EVER!!!

by KerryR275

I love this place. I would go every day if i lived a little bit closer. I live all the way out in Chandler and I drive in about 3 times a week. The food is great, everything I have ever had there has been excellent. I would recommend the eggplant dinner or the sausage sub. The owners and staff are all really friendly and treat you as if you are family. There are also a lot of great food items to purchase. All the cold cuts are great as are all the other goods. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros: everything

Best Lunch Anywhere!

by NickyS

My friends and I eat at this deli almost every day. There is no place better for the great food and the amount you get for your money. I have never had anything but the best ingredients in anything I have ordered, or anything my wife purchsed to cook at home. But the best part is the taste! This food is just like my mom used to make.

Pros: Great food

Excellent Deli

by AZAndrea

This is the best deli I have been to in a very long while. The food portions were more than generous and everything was fresh and very, very tasty. The wait is a little long at lunch time, but the staff told me that all I have to do is call ahead and my order will be ready when I get there. We will be going back many more times. Also very family friendly and my kids will love this place!

Pros: Generous portions, very fresh ingredients

Stale and outdated products still on shelf. Cold cuts moldy(mortadella)

by johnnyrose

De Falco's was nice at first but the last time in there, we got moldy mortadella, and cannoli shells that were stamped outdated and stale and hard...I usually check dates but forgot on those and we got ripped off with stale shells. The Mortadella was with Pistashcios...probably doesn't sell and they still sold us inferior cold cuts.
The beef sandwiches are excellent. The dry, cured black olives are the best anywhere. My only complaint is that they sold and sell people outdated stuff....bad business. The Ricotta was outdated and they still had it in the case...I didn't buy it.
They need some kind of quality control in there.....The way they came up, they can go down, too.

Cons: as many cons as pros

Great service, excellent food

by Lindsey1982

My husband and my father in law introduced me to DeFalco's a couple of years ago and have been going there ever since. They have an awesome meatball sub and the chicken caesar pasta salad is delectable. If you are looking for fast service with delicious Italian food, DeFalco's is the place to go.

Pros: Great food, easy on the wallet, nice staff

As a Doctor I prescribe DE FALCO'S 2x a week to all my patients!!!

by iamthelizardqueen

Oh Yum. Seriously this place is the best! We've been customers at De Falco's for the past 4 years and keep a very special warm place for it in our hearts! We buy our sammys there, purchase fresh pizza dough, have our cheese sliced and purchase our Italian groceries here. Man, the best service your heart could desire. Always a friendly and familiar face to help you and what's more is that the guys who work there loooove the food too!
Must trys: if you like coffee try a latte - THE best coffee you've EVER had!
Rice-balls with sauce, soooo good!
Cheese sandwich and Procuitto sandwiches are really yummy.
Yay! I love this place!!!

Pros: To die for coffee drinks and food with the friendliest service imaginable

Cons: NONE

Its the cutest little deli type place and the staff is super friendly too.
