I go to this market once every two weeks. The value is unbeatable. You can get cucumbers 5 for $1. At my regular store they are .69 each. You can get artichokes 2 for $1. At my regular store they are 2 for $4. The savings change

I'm not sure what the other poster is smoking, there is no seafood or a butcher here. Its just a great place to get great deals on fruits and veggies. So if your looking to stretch your grocery budget this is the place to shop!

As many folks are doing these days, I have had to slash my food budget. So how to eat cheap and healthy at the same time? Find a great place to buy fresh produce!

Superstition Ranch Market is a funky little store that offers a great selection of produce at unbelievable prices. A friend recommended that place and the first time I visited, I was amazed at the prices. Sure you have to pick through the bins a little bit to get the best stuff, but that is part of the fun of a farmer's market.

I have four boys who eat like horses and they are thrilled that the fruit basket is alwys full. We have also been experimenting with new vegetables like spaghetti squash and jicama. It sure beats Hot Pockets!

I love the Superstition Ranch Market! I'm sorry I didn't stumble upon it sooner! When my son was born, I started making my own baby food. Someone told me about this place, so I went and couldn't believe how much I got for such little money. I spent $13 and had enough to make baby food to last 6 weeks! Now we go there for all our produce and my family eats healthier because of it. The parking lot and market is always packed, but that's because it's such a wonderful place, it's worth it! Even though they are always busy, I never wait in line to check out very long, their cashiers are super fast! I'm forever a loyal customer!

I would never go back due to the rudeness of the employees. One old lady employee yelled at my 4 year old for touching and made him cry. She was just as rude to me as well. I'll never go back!

I do agree with it getting spoiled. Seems that they need to go in the fridge right away and does not stay fresh like the other produce from the grocery store.
But some of their produce seems to have been frozen and when you eat it it's mushy inside or just moldy within 2days. I try not to buy it when it soo cold at a defrosting stage.
So buy what you need and can use right away or freeze it. Still saves you money but storing is the key.

Pros: Cheap produce...

Cons: You do get what you pay for...

I occasionally go here for my produce. 9 times out of 10 the prices are outstanding. I only say this because I am sure that they have times when they have to raise their prices to reflect the economy or maybe they had a bad season..???

Anyway, I've always had good luck in finding great produce at very cheap prices. It would be nice if they opened more stores throughout Mesa, it's a little drive for me.

My niece turned me on this place. The prices are incredible. Where else can you get 3 pounds of strawberries for $1 when they are in season? I have made a lifestyle change (not a diet) but I miss the crunch of potato chips with my sandwiches so I substitute crunchy veggies such as red, yellow and green bell peppers, celery, radishes and cucumbers. You cannot beat their prices for these and fresh lettuce, squash and cabbages. Oh, and the large VINE RIPENED tomatoes for tomato sandwiches? To die for! All in all, it is SO worth the drive from East Phoenix to Mesa. (P.S. I also get cheaper gas prices just down the street at Main and LIndsay.) It's a WIN-WIN for me!

I love this market. The prices here are fantastic and the selection is great. I used to spend upwards of $60+ at Fry's every week on produce. Now the bill is around $25 and I get way more! If you are shopping during the months when the snowbirds are here, be sure to go super early. If you get there after 11 am get ready for a cozy experience and long lines. The store is on the small side so it can fill up quickly. All in all, highly recommended!

I recently bought several pounds of strawberries to make jam. Less than two days later, they were so moldy that none of them were salvagable. When I called to see if I could take them back, whoever answered the phone grilled me about how I had stored them, when I bought them, whined about not hearing of any other problems and then very reluctantly agreed to exchange the fruit. He even accusatorily asked me if I had left them in the car or garage or out in the heat. He would not refund my money. He then lectured me on how to store the fruit so it wouldn't go bad. I used to frequent this market pretty often, even though I have had produce spoil quickly because of the price. But I've wasted too much money here. Purchase produce at your own risk.

Superstition Ranch Market has been wonderful, and well worth a trip from Gilbert every two weeks to stock up. Until this week (Sept 18,2008.) Most of the prices were suddenly so high, about like those in a regular supermarket, that I just bought a few items and went back to Sprouts for the rest. Has produce just become so expensive they have to raise prices, or has someone gotten greedy?

I live in Coolidge and I have compared prices when I shop for produce at my local grocery store, and when I go to the Superstition Ranch Market. I pay half at this store than I would anywhere else; that's including the gas. It is worth the drive for me to go clear out there to stock up on produce every 2 weeks. I love this store, it also helps my family eat healthier on a tight budget.

This store always has great prices on produce! You can always find the best watermelon there in the summer. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my produce.

Ranch Market has some of the best produce around, and it is all organically grown. They also have a selection of nuts and other delicious food items. You can find great deals on their produce (I picked up some fantastic canteloupes 2 for $1 last time I was there).

You cannot beat the deals you find at the Superstition Ranch Market. They have a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables for beyond-reasonable prices. They also have the best selection of sugar-free candies, which is really nice for diabetics. It is a small store, packed with goodies. The customer service here is wonderful as well.

I wish this place was closer to my house! This market is great because it has tons of fresh produce for a really cheap price. I can go there and get twice as much as I could at a grocery store but at half the price. I love it! The kids will love the wide selection of candy in the store as well. The only bad thing is that the place is usually crowded and the market isn't very big so you sometimes have to fight your way through the crowds. It's worth it though!
