Sopie's is my favorite special occasion place to eat. It is so romantic and the food is always exceptional. The wine list is fantastic and the menu selections are always interesting. I always end up having something unexpected here. The service is the best in the valley.

This is excellent french cuisine, and a wonderful overall experience. The cheese selection is wonderful as is the wine list. The service is very good, and this is a wonderful place for a romantic date night.

When you walk into Sophie's you are walking into a Paris dining experience. The atmosphere is fabulous and very comfortable.

The french food selection is excellent. The cheese menu is full of domestic and international favorites. The menu is full of classic french dishes from steak through seafood and they do have vegetarian options.

The wine list is very thorough.

This is definitely one of those places for a beautiful, romantic night out or a place to go back to vacations in your head from Paris.

We started with 3 cheeses from 3 different regions and a recommended wine to go with each one. Each cheese was fresh and perfectly paired. We then picked the pate and the escargot as next course. The pate was very nicely spiced, slightly creamy texture and not greasy. The escargots were plump and hot. Nothing spectacular about the escargot but it was nice. I had duck confit and my companion had the lamb special. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious. Duck is sometimes tricky because it can be greasy but not here. For dessert the creme caramel was perfect.

I like the aesthetics of Sophies. There is the piano player, Art on the walls that change fairly often. It's a great date and special celebration restaurant. Well worth the 80+ bucks a person if you are going all out (wine & dessert) for dinner for the evening.

Pros: Ambiance, service, quality of food

hands down the best french restaurant in PHX. must try the foie gras here. sometimes u have to call in advance to make sure they will have it for you. the escargot is to die for. simmered in a butter garlic in a ceramic dish specifically made for escargot. the lamb is great. and they also have a foie gras entree with rabbit.

Pros: intimate atmosphere

Cons: none
