Comfortable & homey atmosphere. Delicious, tastefully-presented food. Around-the-clock beverages and home-baked-goodies. Bocce court. Relaxing hot-tub. In-ground, scrupulously-clean pool. State-of-the-art exercise equipment. Hiking/riding trails. Small private lake and canoe allowed us to try our hand at paddling about and there was enough of a bike selection to outfit even the largest family! Resident geese and free-range chickens provide entertainment and FRESH eggs. In-room refrigerator stocked with water and choice of sodas. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. No television distractions. Wonderfully-restful vacation. Highly recommend it.
The surroundings at Sunglow Ranch enhanced the spiritual experience for me recently during a yoga retreat. The landscape is gorgeous, abundant wildlife can be seen everywhere, the Chiricahua Mountains are in the background, and all of this can be enjoyed either sitting in a chair on the porch or taking a walk or hike on the grounds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean and I cannot say enough about the food--it was delicious. I already have plans to return. As a side trip I would highly recommend Chiricahua State Park--truly God's country!
I love this place! Great rooms, pool, jaccuzzi and amazing food. The acreage is beautiful with majestic mountains and trails to explore. Deer roaming in the morning. This was my third time here on a yoga retreat and the improvements they have made are significant. Nourishing in every way! Thanks Sunglow!
From the moment you drive onto the property of Sunglow Ranch with it's beautiful surroundings, sunlit venues, acres of rolling grass hillsides and the gorgeous views of the Chiricahua mountains your body relaxes, your breath deepens and your spirit feels renewed. It is such a special, sacred space. The lodgings and the food in the cafe are fantastic. The staff is professional yet relaxed and inviting. Our retreat was fantastic. I highly recommend the ranch for retreats, romantic getaways, special occasions and any of the various workshops that they offer at the ranch. It is a special slice of heaven. Not to be missed.
I stayed at the Sunglow Ranch on July 15, 2010 and absolutely loved it! The night we were there an amazing monsoon storm moved into the area. It was sheer bliss to lay in bed with the wind blowing in through the open windows and the rain pattering down on the tin roof of the patio. The location, though isolated, is absolutely gorgeous and I can't say enough about the food and service - both of which were excellent. This is a great place for nature lovers, hikers and those people who just want to get away from it all and relax.
SunGlow is the perfect place to base your wildlife, birding and sightseeing Southeastern Arizona safari. Easy reach of Tucson airport, historic Ft. Bowie, Apache Pass, Tombstone, Amerind Foundation and the Chihuahua Mountains this region can entertain the world! SunGlow has very nice accommodations for a small private group desiring first class service and dining. Don't worry about being out int he middle of nowhere without restaurants around the corner- once you experience dining at SunGlow, you will plan your morning excursion around your awaiting breakfast, they never mind preparing a field lunch for the days field trip and diner and cocktails at sunset always polishes off the perfect western day.
I will base all of my future Southeastern Arizona Safaris out of SunGlow after my first experience there this past May. Wildflowers, cactus of the Sonora desert, gila monsters, javalina, Coatimundi, elegant trogons - in fact so many bucket list birds you will probably get tired of saying "another bird of a life time" let alone the day break hikes back in to old Fort Bowie along the Butterfield stage line or a visit to Tombstone- you will never forget.
If I can assist you any further for ideas and activities while visiting Southeastern Arizona for a wildlife and sight seeing safari please do not hesitate before calling me directly or emailing.

We have been taking the same group of riders to Sunglow for 10 years or so. It's a spectacular place to relax, eat wonderful food, enjoy terrific scenery, and walk among historical Old West locations. The new management has been in place for a year, and more investment is in process. It should be even better when we arrive in this year!
We had our annual family reunion (18 people, three generations) at Sunglow last year. Everyone wanted to go back again this year--it was unanimous. Why: diverse outdoor and indoor activities, gorgeous scenery, variety of wildlife, very comfortable accomodations and excellent food. Among our family are hikers, bikers, bird watchers, horse enthusiasts, horseshoe players, campfire story tellers, Apache culture mavens. We have a few little kids 2-6 years old and they (and their parents) felt safe to let the children explore the grounds, play at the bird fountain, and watch the horses. It's a magical place, I can recommend it without reservation.. .
We truly enjoyed our stay at Sunglow Ranch, it is a very serene, peaceful get away yet close enough to many attractions like Tombstone, Bisbee, and the Chiricahua National Monument/Park. There is a lot to do, from just relaxing, bird watching, mountain biking, hiking, horse back riding and to top it off, romantic gourmet meals in the Sunglow Cafe. The staff goes above and beyond in all aspects from the attention to detail in the Casitas, extremely well maintained property and friendly staff that took care of all our needs. We were also allowed to bring our dog. We highly recommend Sunglow and will be back again.
My husband and I were married at Sunglow in March 2010. After considering many other venues, we chose Sunglow for their highly competitive prices, the gorgeous setting for our outdoor wedding, and the wonderful staff. We visited the site 5 months before the wedding to check it out before we finalized our plans and Pam and her husband were amazingly welcoming. We discussed the options for the wedding sitting in the kitchen sipping tea while dinner was prepared - it was so relaxing. We were then treated to a meal they thought would be perfect for our spring afternoon wedding. The food was delicious! We loved the site too, so we knew it was the place for us. We had worked out an entire wedding package by the time we left.
The venue was perfect! My husband and I stayed at the ranch the night before the wedding and had another excellent dinner in the adorable cafe. The next morning, we got to work setting up the decorations (which we opted to do ourselves, though Pam and her staff are more than capable of doing it for anyone who doesn't want to bother). The staff served everyone a fabulous breakfast and then stayed out of our way while we prepared for the wedding and greeted our guests. We were married under the big tree by the lake and then had a lunch reception in the cozy little courtyard outside the cafe. The food was top notch and the staff seamlessly took care of everything - I barely even knew they were there! Our wedding "cake" (flourless chocolate cakes served in individual ramekins) was prepared by the chef as well and was to die for. I was absolutely thrilled with the reception.
All in all, I was incredibly pleased with the experience. Sunglow is beautiful and I couldn't have been happier with the service. I would highly recommend Sunglow both as a vacation destination and a wedding venue - the staff is up to the challenges that both sorts of customers present. You simply can't find a more stunning view with the level of service Sunglow provides in Southern Arizona. My husband and I will definitely return to Sunglow in the future and eagerly await our next trip there.
My Husband and I with our two small daughters (2 and 3 yrs old) have stayed at this wonderful ranch more than once. The wonderful staff at Sunglow provide the most relaxing vacation experience we have ever had as a family! There is a lot for our daughters to see and do here with the animals, (horses, chickens and geese) Nature walks and swimming. The girls love the canoe on the private lake and have even caught and released fish. The food in the small intimate cafe is wonderful and they have a full liquor license featuring Local Arizona Wines! Our favorite guest service offered by Sunglow is to hire a local babysitter to come to your casita in the evenings with prior arrangement by the management! This special service allows for the girls to play hard all day, sleep at night and gives Mom and Dad some much needed romantic time to ourselves for dinner and amazing star gazing with wine around the camp fire at night.
