Toppings Galore

by Alexis L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,398

The selection of toppings here is immense! I love this place and I've loved it since I was a little child. It's fresh and simply amazing. Last time I was there I got artichoke hearts and green chillies and it was so delicious and filling I even had a couple slices for the next day's lunch!

Magpies PizzA

by Teresa T.

We used to love Magpies, with its whole-wheat crust and soy cheese. Then we started ordering the build-your-own pies and that's when we started running into problems.

Despite paying for double - and eventually triple - artichokes they consistently skimp on them.

In addition, they somehow screw up order about half the time. More often than not, when we call they give us a discount or sometimes a free pie, but it's getting frustrating.

cute pizza joint

by Lindsay T. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 519

This quaint little pizza joint in the heart of the University of Arizona is a perfect place to go after a long day of shopping along University street. They have really good homeade pizza.

Great pizza for veggies and health conscious

by Mary P. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 260

Magpie's offers great pizza and is thankfully located all around the city.

Their menu is especially impressive because it offers a wide range of vegetables from artichokes to fresh roasted eggplant. You also have your choice of regular, sourdough and wheat crusts.

The 4th Avenue location offers pretty quick seating on the weekends. However, you can get a cheaper pie elsewhere in the city.

The staff is nice and prompt, and the kitchen turns order overs quickly.

You can even order your pizza for "take and bake" meaning, they deliver it (or you pick it up) unbaked, and take it home and pop it in the oven at your convenience.

Overall really great pizza to people who love their vegetables. My favorite: The Greek.

PROS: Awesome pizza, nice staff, nice selection of toppings, dough
CONS: A little pricey
