Atmosphere A Paul Mitchell Focus Salon

I just walked in from a great haircut. The stylist listened to what I wanted, made some helpful suggestions and proceeded to give me the best haircut that I've had in years. The central Phoenix location is perfect for me and I'm delighted that I found this place.

Pros: The staff were friendly, talented and helpful.

Cons: Up stairs

I WAS a customer of Atmosphere Salon up until a few weeks ago. I tolerated the moody manly looking receptionist with the extensions, the fact that this place is in a dive location (DON'T GO THERE AFTER DARK!!) all in the name of my favorite stylist Gregory P. I called to make an appointment and was told he moved out of state. I find this site by accident searching his name and learn that he's still doing business in Scottsdale. Yay for me!! But shame on you Atmosphere Salon!! Isn't the world already full of so much negative energy already? Gregory is awesome!!

Pros: I don't have to worry about being mugged in the parking lot because I found Gregory

I went to the thomas st location. I am from north carolina needed a cut done decided to try this place. Kerri did my hair. She was amazing. Totally gave me a new look that I needed! Customer service was great I had to wait a minute but it was ok for the cut I recieved and the staff was very nice. I highly recommend this place!!!!

The ladies of Atmosphere Salon are some of the most fun and talented stylist I have ever met. They are friendly, gifted, and down-to-earth. The haircuts and color are both trendy and appropriate for all ages and types of personalities. The entire experience from the shampoo to the cut, are well worth the cost, and will keep you coming back for more!!! Enjoy!

Gregory Patterson is still and has always been working in Arizona. I do work in San Francisco twice a month, and am still enjoying all of my Arizona clients in North Scottsdale. New to the area, i was referred to this salon by a friend. I looked here on city search and was surprised to hear about some of the reviews. I was torn, but my friend told me just go any way.

I have to say...I really enjoyed this salon. It was really a cool place. They had a dj playing music while customers had their hair done. But most importantly, the staff was really down to earth. Not like some of these stuffy salons. Their prices vary from average to higher, but i was happy with my stylists and her prices were good.

I would recommend this salon to my friends. Give it a shot!

I was one of those loyal customers you talk about at your Scottsdale location. It's unfortunate that I had to learn your scottsdale location went under by reading a flyer on the door. I consider this to be extremely poor customer service. I wish I would have found this site sooner. Maybe you haven't heard of freedom of speech? It's what this forum is for, a place to praise and voice opinions. As for me I will be looking for another salon.

This is all very interesting to me....I am one of the owners of Atmosphere Salon. I can tell you that in the 6 almost 7 years of doing business our salon has never received negative comments like this. I find it extremely coincidental that all of these comments have started happening in the past year?????? I dont feel the need to defend our salon, because any client that comes to us regularly, will tell you that we work very hard to satisfy our Guests. Our Stylists go through weekly Education classes from a John Paul Mitchell systems Educator, and are expected to treat EVERY guest, not only their own, with care. We are a small, artsy salon, and do not claim to be one of these big massive places. That is what our clients love about us. Our stylist team consists of all styles of individuals, we are all different. That is what makes us unique, because there is someone for everyone. It is so obvious that the person who keeps listing these comments is the same person. And coincidental that its only been in the past year, which makes sence to me, but i wont elaborate on that. All i can say is, its really uncool, we are looking into having some of this information traced through the authorities, and its extremely unfortunate that this person cannot find better things to do with their time, like something positive for our society instead of adding to the already oversaturated group of negative individuals we are stuck being surrounded by. For those of our clients who love and support our salon, thank you very much for all of your kind words..

This place sux with a capital S!! Immediately walking in was a turn off. Staff clearly had no style and was rude. I had planned on a cut and color but after seeing the do's on these people I opted for a pedicure instead. Will never let them touch my beautiful tresses!

So not impressed by this phoenix salon. I had to wait way to long for the appointment I had made weeks prior.

U know what they say, bad press is good press too! So keep it comin! Its obvious whats goin on here! And thats fine, cause all it means is that someone wants to ruffle things up for a business that IS, and always has been a cool place to have your hair done! NO MATTER WHO WORKS THERE! Its all about the ATMOSPHERE, and thats something u can never take away!

So continue with your childish games, but this is a bunch whose in high demand, a talented group and a force to be reckoned with!

Find something better to do with your time, cause its not gonna work!

I was referred by my cousin who goes here frequently. I went in for a hair cut, the wash was really rough on my scalp. The cut was just a trim, the stylist wasn't necessarily unfriendly but didn't have much of a personality. I'm one of those customers that likes conversation with the stylist-not in depth but superficial talk makes the time pass. Anywho-I don't think this is the place for me.

Pros: Pretty cheap prices

Had my hair done here recently, didn't like the results very much. I might go back because it's close to my house and they always have availability. I won't rule them out completely. Sounds like maybe the person below works there... talk about a commercial.

unlike some people i got great service and one of the best shampoos i wanna go back just to get shampoos!! The staff was very friendly, its a hip fun salon.

I found this atmosphere salon by accident and thought I'd give it a shot. I went in just a few days ago, I'm getting married in a few months and thought maybe I could have them do my hair (yeah right!) My hair was in great condition until I let them get their hands on it! They overprocessed it and now I'm going to have to get it corrected in a REAL salon. The last two comments mention the shampoo and free drinks! Who cares!?! For what I paid they better know how to shampoo and offer me a drink-what a ripoff!! I thought that because they were in Scottsdale I'd receive better treatment, boy was I wrong. The service was ridiculous! I will never go back and if you're smart and you want to keep your hair you won't either...

I just recently went to Atmosphere Salon last week for the first time to have my hair cut and colored. I was told to go there from a friend of mine who has been going there for the past 2 years. When I walked in I was greeted by their receptionist who was extremely sweet and helpful. She offered me a beverage which I thought was a nice touch and I had a seat. My stylist greeted me just a few minutes later and we got started. She listened to what I was looking for in a hair style and at the end of the service it was achieved. Not to mention all that went into my visit there...she was very thorough, I got the most relaxing shampoo I think I have ever recived at any other salon, and the people that work there were very helpful and nice. I am so happy with the outcome and cannot wait for my next appointment in 6 weeks. I am sending in everyone I know to this place. Thank you Atmosphere Salon! You made me feel beautiful!

I wish I would have found this website before I ever made my appointment at Atmosphere Salon! The service was horrible. The staff was rude, they spoke about their personal lives as if I wasn't even there. I have no desire to listen to them vent about bratty kids or their lack of a Saturday Night date! The job done on my hair was ridiculous. The cut was all wrong and when I tried to have her fix it she looked at me like I had just spoken another language... I do not recommend this salon at all!! You're better off going to a Great Clips!!!

Ladies & Gents-I recently went into the Scottsdale location for a cut and color. The service was horrible, they could use a lesson or two in customer service. Walking in to see an empty salon on a Saturday afternoon should have been my first clue to turn around and leave. I learned my lesson! The stylist didn't listen to me at all, cut way more than I asked for and the color was way off. Don't waste your money or your time!!!!!

Do not use this Atmosphere Salon. They burnt my scap, caused my hair to fall out and then tried to charge me over $300.00 dollars for it. It has been three months and my scalp is still peeling and I had to cutt 5 inches off of my hair due to the damage that was caused by Atmosphere Salon.
