Jamaica Me Tan Inc

I had a terrible experience! I was 15 and went into the salon to get tan for prom. I went in alone and apparently you have to be 18 there. Well the girl said she'd let me slide so i could get my tan. So I paid 120 dollars up front and went into the bed. She gave me no instructions, no goggles, and put me in for 10 minutes but wrote 6 on my paper. After a few hours when I got home, I was feeling burned. I ended up being unbelievably burned from the back of my neck all the way down to the back of my calves. I took my Dad back to the salon to complain and get my money back and they told him my Mom had come in with me and knew what was going on. Well my Mom lived in another state. So my Dad tried to snatch the paper out of the girls hand and she claimed he was trying to grab her and touch her! It was a huge mess and I never got my money back and went to prom burned. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was traveling back and forth from ID to a tiny town on the coast of OR to see my kids.( A twelve hr. drive one way, or a two stop flight with a car rental and another 2&1/2 hr. drive)I bought a expensive mystic package had several left & was told to buy more?? I tried to explain to the ditzy girl at the counter that I was going through a divorce and was therefor, had been traveling every month, sometimes staying as long as six weeks. This was the same girl that I had purchased the mystic package from, that NEVER verbally explained that you had to use it in a certain amount of time. I am writing this review to corporate, even though it happened in Meridian, Idaho in hopes that someone will listen and quit ripping single hard working mother's off!!!!!!!! It is sad and a terrible way to keep customer's. I will let everyone I KNOW in CA, AZ, and ID to NEVER step foot in your salons!! Watch your numbers fall!!!!!!

This place is nothing but a big joke!!! "Quality Customer service" as stated on there website, Corporate sure is full of themselves. I ended up driving to two different locations because there Mystic was down and not working AT BOTH LOCATIONS!!! How about communicating that between stores before sending me 40 mins out of my way. There prices are way to high and not to mention have a time limit also. They screw you coming and screw you going. I highly doubt this company and Awesome Managers will be around much longer. See Ya Jamaca Me Tan, You Suck!!!

I used to tan at the place before jamaca took over, it was ok but they jipped me money. here the ac's broken & it's extremely overpriced. however it's the only one near me, so I go there as they are convienient and have more than one crappy little bed. The girls at the counter are cute and sweet, dumb as a rock, and not educated much about the tanning. I think they promote their spray tan too much. Ya, it's cool... but dont push it. There really isn't too much that's special about them, again, average girls, average service, over priced, but they DO have different kinds of beds.

PROS: lots of beds/options
CONS: expensive, cust service has almost no education about beds

This place is not bad looking, but they charge way higher prices than other tanning salons. You can go to a salon that is just as nice and pay a small fraction of the cost. They do offer unlimited tanning but it is not really worth the cost in the long run. Employees are nice and easy to get a long with but I would recommend trying some place else before throwing down big bucks here.

When I moved this was the only "nice" place near me. I stopped by to check out their prices and beds and I was shocked to hear that they charge almost $50 month for unlimited tanning. I did a one tan session and was totally disappointed with the cleanliness of the place along with the terrible service I received. I am used to tanning, and paying the high cost - but this was outrageous!
