Perfect Setting for a Wedding

by Annette M. | insider Insider | Rank: 26,865

When I first saw this place I fell in love with it. The grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS. And since the place was designed for this type of thing so it works perfectly. We had a small wedding so it was just the right size. They take care of everything for you if you want, so it's pretty low stress. And you DON'T have to use their vendors if you don't want. Our guests loved the setting and our pictures are VERY nice - I LOVE THEM. We were married in April so the garden was lovely and warm in the evening. We used their vendors. They find a way to do anything you want (although you pay for it). People couldn't stop talking about how pretty the cake was. And it was the best tasting cake I have ever had at a wedding. Most people ate 2 or 3 slices.
Bad thing is if you have any last minute changes or requests, it's likely to slip through the cracks. We changed our rehearsal time a week before our wedding, but after our final meeting. The message never got passed down to our wedding day co-ordinator. But I think things like this are unaviodable. It's a wedding.

PROS: Gorgeous, Low Stress, Great Vendors
CONS: A little pricey ( you get what you pay for), some misses with the staff.

Great garden setting for wedding...pretty pricey though

by Jodi O. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,406

When selecting a place for my wedding, I looked into The Wright House. I noticed that the pricing seemed higher than a lot of other places that I looked at.

I did go to a wedding held there. The gardens are very pretty and well maintained. It's not a real large space if wanting a big party. The chairs were pretty squished together at the wedding I attended. They ended up having the reception at a different location, my guess is a combination of high prices and occupancy.

Beautiful Gardens and picture spots

by L B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,244

I have been to a luncheon and a few receptions at the Wright House. It's a very beautiful location that was well planned and designed for these purposes. I've noticed though that those who use the outdoor gardens and put up lights really get the full impact of the place. The price is about average but you have to use their caterers and food. The staff is very friendly and helpful though!

Beautiful wedding/event setting

by Helaman E. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,061

A few of my friends have had their wedding receptions and wedding luncheons held here and it is a great looking place. Although right on a busy road, upon entering the property you are very surprised to find an extensive garden and well kept grounds. The setting, especially at night, is wonderfully romantic and exotic at the same time - perfect for a reception. A band and dance floor fit outside under a terrace and there is also an indoor room available for meals with surrounding windows overlooking the garden. Although it is pricey, if you have the money it is worth it for a nice experience.

PROS: Awesome setting, many amenities
CONS: Pricey
