Voted #1 - Tucson's Most Authentic Mexican Restaurant;(Tucson Guide Quarterly - 2002);Beautiful Garden Setting;Daily Lunch Buffet;Full Bar Service Data provided by Superpages.com

In Short
La Fuente is a tourist restaurant that is tasty enough for locals to enjoy. It boasts some of Tucson's best Mexican food, and there are no disappointments anywhere on the menu. Try the Pastel Azteca for a unique layered dish, and the fresh-made salsa is equally delicious. La Fuente also features traditional Mexican music, and where dramatic mariachi groups perform on a small central stage before walking through the restaurant serenading individual tables.

La Fuente

by Matt L. | insider Insider | Rank: 27,242

La Fuente is a quality Mexican restaurant with great food and fun atmosphere. The mariachi band adds to the experience while you enjoy your meal. Not typically a place for college students except when parents may be visiting. The location is not the best.

Charming atmosphere

by m0507

La Fuente is a nice place to go with friends for a casual, tasty dinner that is not over-priced. I enjoyed the live performances that accompanied dinner. The interior was charming, with the hanging plants and ethnic decorations. The customer service was excellent, and I could tell that they aimed to please. The food was nothing extraordinary, but it was definitely good for the price. I liked the enchiladas. The salsa was excellent. I recommend it-but not if you are looking for a four diamond, gourmet restaurant.

Pros: Quick Seating, Ambience

Cons: The Restaurant could use some repairs to the paint, floor, and they could get new tablecloths

Yucky Lunch buffet

by tucsongal

I have never been to La Fuente for dinner, but my coworkers like to go for lunch and have the lunch buffet. I believe at 8 bucks that it is way overpriced for the amount of choices and quality of the food offered. I always leave feeling kind of gross like i ate crappy food. Also, often times i have been there there will be like one enchilada left in the pan and it won't be refreshed the whole time i am there going to the buffet......yuck........i have never enjoyed the buffet or the price. Dry chicken, runny beans, and stale tacos.....no flavor

Pros: ummmm, if it's taking me this long to think of one, then none?

Cons: food, price, food, and food

A Must Visit Restaurant for Locals and Tourists

by bmray

La Fuente is a must visit restaurant on our trips to Tucson. Our 9 year old loves the mariachis and cheese crisp. The adults always order great guacamole that is made at your table and the chimichangas can't be beat. Between the members of our extended family, we have had nearly every item on the menu and have never experienced a bad meal or service. The staff is courteous and go out of their way to be helpful.

My in-laws have lived in Tucson for nearly 60 years and swear by La Fuente. The only down side is that it can sometimes be a bit noisy--dpending on where your table is and if you are attempting to have a conversation at a large table. However, the staff has always been accomodating!

La Fuente

We have family in Tucson, and visit regularly. We make it a point to visit La Fuente every time. They are by far the best Mexican restaurant in regards to food and atmosphere, and just look how long they've been around - it doesn't get much better.

Great

by maelinmanns

If you are visiting from out-of-town, you can find La Fuente Restaurant ads in the hotel. This restaurant is for people want a relaxed atmosphere, great good, great service, and makes you warm inside. This is the spot. They also have live music at night that puts you in at ease. I recommend anyone to give a try.

Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Fun
