If most of the women attending are so scantily dressed, it makes you wonder where their priorities lie. Brian, the head pastor gives impressive sermons, mostly focused on modern society living, but don't be surprised if you never get one that lays down some of the tough love principles on how Christians are to dress, etc. Like I said, the dress code is very untamed and I'm curious to know where they side on key issues like abortion, men and women's roles, family structure etc. Some may laugh at those, but they are a major part of the underlying reason society is in such a mess today. I can't fully recommend this church. They have their psychiatry down pat and their small support groups, which I'll give them an A+ on, but I personally think, for Christians to truly grow in Christ, they need to be immersed in the word of God with the most accurate understanding of each precept as possible. I don't even know how the men in that place can focus on the message.

I have been attending VC on and off since 5th grade, but started attending every week in 8th and am now a junior in high school. I have been volunteering in the Vineyard Kids for nearly two years, and in that aspect, Vineyard is great. I love the atmosphere they create for the little ones, and all the volunteers are so friendly, as are the higher ups. As for the classes my age, I am very disappointed. When I began attending regularly three years ago, nobody spoke to me or my sister. We had no friends there and the entire atmosphere was very unfriendly. It got to the point where my sister stopped attending youth and I was left to attend by myself. Only after one of my friends (whom you could describe as only slightly prettier than me or my sister) began attending, did we finally make friends. However, even now, the youth is very clique-ish and when the usual girls are there, my sister and I get shoved to the background. Even some of the leaders can be excluding.
I also don't agree with some of what the Vineyard preaches. I do not believe in praying in tongues and I think pastors should be bivocational; I do not agree with my tithe going to support the pastor's vacation to Hawaii.

PROS: I met my best friend there. Vineyard Kids.
CONS: The rest.

I have enjoyed being a member of this church since 2004. My son and I attended most weekends. He started in the Vineyard Kids, but enjoys hearing Pastor Brian and the music he now asks if he can come to the "big" church. He is 7 years old. We are always greeted with a warm hello and continue to feel this warmth the entire time we are on campus. I have been involved in a couple different small groups, volunteered in Vineyard Kids and will be attending Financial Peace University. Vineyard offers a lot, and we know we are not the church for everyone, but please come check us out. You never know - we may be exactly what you are looking for.

If you're looking for a Pastor who can relate biblical principles to everyday life then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a worship service that offers contemporary praise and worship then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a place where hands and feet can touch faith then this is the place for you. If you're looking for hymnals, fire and brimestone preaching and everyone wearing their Sunday "best" then this is not the place for you. My wife and I enjoy everything about the church but if you come, get involved, take the ministry classes that are offered, get in a cell group (you'll likely find one that fits you and/or your family) or you'll quickly get lost in the shuffle and quite possibly fizzle out.

I have attended Vineyard for many years I have seen the Church grow from gathering in a rented strip center location to a very beautiful, modern and accomodating church. I am really quite appauled at the negative judgemental comments I have read about the appearance of the congregation. Perhaps if people who attend church would put there focus on God, and their love walk with All God's Children, instead of spending their worship and sermon time looking around judging others they would receive the blessing and understand the sermon. My hat is off to the youth programs, the staff and perhaps There is only one Marty.... but the worship is awesome if you actually spend time worshiping instead of being negative and Judgements.

I have attended church at north phoenix vineyard since the beginning of 2010. I have never in my life been more inspired to really be the best person I can be until I attended this church. I am a very busy single parent of 4 small children and I appreciate the fact that I don't have feel like I need not attend unless I'm attired in my "sundays best" pantsuit every week just to feel I'm acceptable to the people around me . The pastor Brian Anderson is amazing and delivers the sermon every week in a way that anyone can identify with. I really admire the way they encourage everyone to be open to building new friendships with other members in the church for example several times during the sermon the pastor makes a point to give everyone the opportunity to say hello to the people around them and always encourages people to get involved in small groups . The pastor has a way of making the stories in the bible relate to everyday life in present times. I leave every week feeling very positive and blessed. I have been to several different churches growing up and never really "connected" or felt close to the lord until I came to this church 6 months ago. I feel it is an absolute blessing and would encourage anyone to check it out . By Diane Manns In Glendale AZ

Down to earth is the new phrase for "Sloppy". I've never been to a church where I was simply offended by how other people presented themselves. Generally speaking I dress for the occasion. You wear a Team jersey when you go to a game not to church...
The sermon was confusing and band was obnoxious.

Yesterday was the first time I have attended Worship Services at Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

I must admit, I am impressed with the facilities, diversity of the parishioners, the auditorium, the generosity, the services, the ease and quickness at which most of my discomfort, or uneasiness if you will, disappeared, and was taken away with an emotionally overwhelming experience. But mostly I am impressed and quite pleased at the number of smiles. Nearly every person who I made eye contact with returned a smile or beat me to the smile at the ?git go?!!

Thank you for an enjoyable service and wonderful Sunday morning!!

PROS: Friendly, Ejoyable Service
CONS: None

This church is typical of the new era big box Wal Mart type churches. Very well organized fast service with lots of flash. Most of the people in attendance showed their respect for God by arriving in their best grunge or just finished doing the lawn attire.(one of the church slogans is "God dosen't care what you look like and neither do we") My response to that is "Says Who". The first part of the service is a 30 minute christian rock concert (while you are standing up, or you can be seated and surrounded by everyone else standing up) Nice senior pastor with sermon about a case for believing in god (preaching to the choir, thats why everyones there, we already believe in God) Briefly talked to another pastor who pretty much answered questions with "check the website". Attended the get together dinner after the service where you can get to know people. Unfortunately didn't get to know anyone as no one spoke to us. I think it may have been the issue of my wearing a belt with my pants and wearing shoes instead of flip flops. My wife was really over the top with a blouse instead of a t-shirt or football jersey. Carrying my bible, (and I think I was the only one with one) and dressed the way we were we were probably considered uppity or snooty or something. We tried to appear humble and pityful and looking for friends and even mentioned to a few people that this was our first time here. Not exactly a warm and fuzzy feeling. Same feeling as your first day at a new school. Definitely not our kind of church but I am sure its great for many others especially those who just like to get in and get out with no fuss, no muss. Looks like the next step may be a drive-in service and you just tune in your radio and drop your tithe in the basket when driving out.

PROS: Music good, pastor nice, dinner was only 3 bucks and not bad
CONS: No one noticed we were there

I recently decided to check this church out. This church is fairly large (not quite the size as say CCV). It appears that they may be starting to have growing pains in certain areas. I also noticed that the congregation is quite diverse in all areas (age, race, etc, etc). Everyone dresses very informal including the worship team. The worship was quite good but not great as was the sermon. The pastor was able to keep my attention for most of the sermon. Although, I don't know it was just the topic or not but the sermon at times got a little too weird and was bit out there sometimes (this is 25 years of Christianity talking). I'm not sure if this church is what I?m looking for, but overall my first impression was pretty good.

PROS: appears active, good worship experience, very diverse.
CONS: appears to be close to capacity, sermon was weird at times.

This is a very nice church to visit. They are very welcoming and down to earth and make you feel right at home. The messages are easy to understand and taught in a nice, interesting not boring matter. The pastors and staff are great! They have programs for the children that are great too. I would suggest checking this church out if you are looking for somewhere to visit!

Vineyard is a large church with many services. We really liked the pastoral staff at this church. The sermon was extremely relevant to life today.

Worship was decent but lacking something. It seems they have a great youth program. If this church were closer to us, we would probably make this our church home.

PROS: Great pastoral staff.
CONS: Weak worship.
