This is steakhouse was a pleasant surprise when I had moved to Phoenix from Southern California. The atmosphere is great in this restaurant and the steak is fabulous with all of the trimmings! The NY steak I had was so moist and delicious and it was cooked pretty much well done...very hard to be moist when it is done that well. Go here if you are in the Phx/Scottsdale area. They are located in the Desert Ridge marketplace where they have a ton more restaurants and lots and lots of shopping! :)

Two times in a row the food was lousy. Ordered the sirlion and lobster Sunday Evening.
The waiter recommended the salmon spring rolls. They were salty and really fishy. Next came the salad with ceaser dressing on the side that tasted like lemon with heavy garlic. Now, the main course- Lobster tail was COLD (thank god for the warm butter) the waiter did not come and check in until he dropped the check. I ordered by Steak medium. It came out like beef jerky- Yes, beyond well done. The manager offered to cover the meal, which should be the case in any experience like that one, she offered a free desert which we accepted, but after 10 minutes waiting it never arrived, so we left. WILL LIKELY NOT GO BACK!

Pros: Very comfortable atmosphere

Cons: Steak could be much higher quality

The Keg in the Desert Ridge Marketplace has some amazing food. The prices are in the moderate to high range, but the steak is just mouth-watering. Had only one bad customer service experience--waiter seemed less than enthusiastic, and generally had a bad attitude. But in all my other visits, the wait staff was top notch. Be prepared for a two hour long wait on a Friday night--they don't take reservations on Friday and Saturday.

Pros: Ambience, great food

Cons: Service somewhat unpredictable

The steaks are the draw here, aged a minimum of 28 days, seasoned with secret recipe spices and seared at extraordinarily high heat. But unlike more expensive steakhouses, this Canadian-based chain includes the sides: Caesar salad,…
