The owners are very very unprofessional and rude! Terrible business people! They think it's better to rip people off and treat them badly, rather than treat them well and have them recommend business from friends etc. I'm very surprised they are still in business. I loved my child's teacher but that is no reflection on them. The owner wants people to "uphold the agreement they made in good faith" but give them paperwork that conteidicts itself and say "oops sorry". Please stay away if these people want to be rude to people and rip them off they should find another business to do it with. Not little kids and single parents.
Well, let me start off by saying we withdrew our child after a very short period of time. Dirty...dirty facility. Caught the teachers being over ratio more then once when we walked in. It just doesn't seem like they hold the high standards for the children like other schools do. We are much happier now where we are at. Stay away from this place there is much better out there for the cost!!!
brought my kid here as a recommendation this is a great place. coming from my old daycare to this one is like night and day, i dont smell constant urine or kids screaming . teachers seem to know what tare doing, i love how they are always updating me up with my sons progress throughout the day. everything looks clean, smells nice my son loves his teacher. we have only been in the younger classes, but i've walked by the preschool classes and just to scope it out and those classes puts so many others to shame incomparison to our old place and placed we toured.
Nice place, always clean, staff seem happy, actually teaching going on in the classes and lots of adorable arts and crafts that are very creative, not like our previous daycare (goddard) where i felt like my child was just being babysat.
overall it is a great preschool in the area
Pros: everything i mentioned above
Cons: nothing really, maybe more class pets

Great place for preschoolers, pre-k and kindergarten.
Not so sure about the younger ages, haven't had any experience there. It's unfortunate that there are bad reviews about this place, but everyone have their own opinion, as do I.
he preschool teachers took care of my kids.
Turn over rate with the preschool teachers never really happened in our 4 years there, I always saw the same faces on preschool side of the center.

Nice place, always smells clean and so much art work all around the place. My 5 year old daughter always gets mad at me when its time to leave, much better than her old daycare where I would pick up so upset and cry all the way home. Makes me feel better she is enjoying her time there. Shes always happy to say hi to all her teachers and wake me up on weekends to ask "are we going to school today mommy?"

I am also happy my child does not go here. My daughter went here for nearly 2 years. The place really went down hill. Many of the better teachers left. The turn rate is extremely high. The owners are not professional and I believe they post many of their own reviews under different names as you can see the simularity between sites.
As a real parent, my child was constantly being neglected. Unexplained bites and bruises. The worst was when they would scream bloody murder at drop off. We have been at a new daycare for over 3 months and the change in her is amazing. She picked up sign language (this place did not do it) and her vocabulary has increased so much its amazing.
I have heard the preschool here is ok and the teachers more consistant there but I couldnt afford to wait that many years for improvement!

Came across this looking for the number to call about parents night out and figured I would write some stuff. What can I say about this place, its completely awesome. Every other place is just a daycare babysitting service in comparison. This place goes above and beyond, the staff is phenomenal, they have always ttaken care of my little ones and even babysit them outside of TLC. The owners are great, they can come off a bit harsh but they tell you what you want to know. Not fluff it with 'stages' or 'its the age'. No these two are on top of it, I see imediate results and they always make sure everything is okay with me, my family and just general stuff. The preschool teachers are just out of this world. TLC is an amazing place for people who want REAL teaching and staff that don't BS you.

Great preschool for my kids. My children are excited to go everyday, the teachers, parents and children all seem to be very happy and excited every day. The female owner is very nice, straight forward and always greeting and talking to us as we walk in and out. Very clean all over. Overall is a very welcoming place!

My Son has been going to the Learning Curve for over a year now. I would recommend this preschool to anyone. From the well trained and caring owners, and staff to the cleanliness and size of the facility, It is a very friendly and warm center with a lot to offer. My son looks forward to going to school everyday to see his teacher Mr. Sean. He is excited to talk about his day with me on our way home. From Social studies, math, spelling to signlanguage, there is a lot to share. The communication and feedback I receive from the staff and directors is outstanding. I would highly recommend any parent who wants their child to be in a fun, loving, and learning environment to consider this school.

My child went here for a little while. Like everyone else at first I loved it. I kept giving it more chances hoping it would get back to what it was. Then my child also began being neglected coming home with bites, bruises that were un explained. I agree with the comments about the high turn over and rude owners and staff. If you raise a concern they act as if you are attacking them or they lie directly to your face. The teachers are always different and you never know who will be your childs teacher for the day. I am so much happier with my new childcare situation. Since then I have noticed so many details that were lacking here. Even the small things such as batteries in toys. My child never screams when I drop them off like they did at this establishment.
I should have realized how unhappy they were here much earlier!

I am a brand new mother and was very skeptical of daycares, before finding TLC. This daycare was the cleanest and safest one, BY FAR! The staff was friendly and very happy to have my new one on board! I watch everyday on the cameras and have no complaints. My daughter is happy and healthy and couldn't have found a better place for her.

My children are my pride and joy, as I am sure yours are to you. I researched all of my options when it came to deciding on a preschool for my children. Knowing that my husband and I would be leaving them with another adult for about 9-10 hours a day, broke my heart at first. Once I found The Learning Curve, I felt as if it was an answer to prayer. This is not your typical preschool/daycare by any means. The staff at The Learning Curve is absolutely AMAZING. Each staff member is required to have at least 30 hours of training each year, which excites me because I know that these individuals are taking courses to train them on new ideas which they can implement in the classroom. This helps to ensure that each child has an invigorating experience. In addition, each staff member clearly loves their job. They always greet the children with a smile, which warms my heart. After touring about a million different daycares this is by far the cleanest preschool out there. After speaking with the wonderful Director and her husband I noticed that cleanliness is not something which is sacrificed. In addition, I love the safety features which the center offers. Knowing that not one single person can pick up my children unless they have been fingerprinted (due to the biometric system) makes me feel comforted. The live Webcams are a blessing as well. I love being able to tap into the Internet viewing cams during the day to see what my child is doing and how he is interacting with the other children. (It also fills the void of not having him with me while I am at work) My oldest son who is now 3 is already learning how to write numbers and letters, while my two year old is forming full on sentences. This is definitely a direct correlation with the wonderful curriculum at The Learning Curve and the amazing staff. The Learning Curve has done an AMAZING job of making my entire family feel as though we are a part of their family rather than just customers. The Directors treat my children as if they were their own, and that speaks volume. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone who truly cares about the well-being of their child/ren. I hope that you too can have the experience which we have had at The Learning Curve!

I had a difficult time finding a place that was even semi clean, this was one of the few perks of this place that interested me, looks and smells clean andalways lively.
I always see my son coming home with lots of artwork, writing practice. he has learned so much for since his short time here of a few months. He literally does not stop talking about the interesting subjects he learns in class.
his preschoolteachers are great people to talk to and seeing them interact with the children all the time is just what i like to see.
the staff are friendly and helpful, the female owner is very nice to talk to and helped soothe my worries about preschools, she was very straight forward with me about everything which i liked. especially when she helped work out a good deal on my odd schedules to bring my son in which many other centers i toured did not do.
I like it here and so does my 3 year old. would recommend to anyone...
had to move out of state and it was very hard for us and the kids. this place had taken care of my kids for 5 years. Its astonishing to see how much they learn and have fun at the same time. It was true pleasure to have my children there knowing that they were learning.
I was recommended here by a parent who attends the same class as my son now, being a first time and admittedly an overprotective parent I was very skeptical of childcare.
This is the first time my son has been in a preschool, I needed to get him into a social atmosphere so he can be prepared for kindergarten. His teacher mr. sean is very courteous to us and made me feel much better about leaving him in his class. His teacher is very nice and sweet to the children and teaches them a lot of things my son can't stop talking about at and mr. sean home. Makes me happy that I picked a good place for him.
Its unfortunate the other posters did not feel the same way, so far he has been enrolled 3 months now and I have no complaints. Hopefully nothing changes but I think its a great fit for us.
My child went here about 7 months ago. We felt like the turn over was really high and the staff was rude (mostly the wife owner) I have since read many of the other complaints and am amazed I didnt see all of these issues sooner. I read about owners posting there own reviews and can see that is true. After reading the "comment" on another negative review below I found my self wondering how many parents just "happen to stumble across a review sight while searching for a number to their childs daycare" I must be "too expecting and neurotic" as well since I have those numbers memorized! Other sights have didfferent posters claiming the same story! Amusing...
I believe there are much better childcare situations. The place is clean but I also want an establishment my child and I both feel welcome and treated with respect. This simply was not it for us!
My little girl has been going here for 10 months now and she loves it! place is always clean and there is art work everywhere for everyone to see and always fun projects going home. not once have i any need to worry about my child and her well being.
I would also do 0 stars if possible. The staff is extremely unprofessional. One of the owners herself can be found in the front lobby cursing and swearing at any given time. If you have an issue they deny it ever happened instead of working for a resolution. The doors are not secure as the systems are constanly down and they just let people in.
The comments stating the owners and family are nice etc ... must be written by the owners themselves. You can check out all of their citations (which are mostly ratio issues), but you will see they have a visit due to a complaint very regularly. They combine all of the kids in the afternoon to save on teachers regardless of age. There are much better childcare selections for the money. The turnover is also awful and very high. Many of the teachers are extremely young and immature... the others are just lazy.
I would do 0 stars if possible- really a poor choice, you and your children will be treated badly. Very rude owners and some staff unbelievably unprofessional.
The owner and his family write a lot of reviews on here and other sites. If you want a customer opinion, I would say not a good place when there are many others close by to choose from. I would only go back as last resort since I don't think kids are supervised as well as in other places, meaning negligence among the staff. With management there's definitely a lot of negativity if you bring up concerns about anything. You can see that by checking the comments the owner leaves attacking people. That's another reason I would never choose them again.
If you're wondering about a good and nurturing place for kids, this is far from it. Things look good on the tour but changes fast after you sign up. They make you do 2 weeks notice if you want to leave so if you want your child out ASAP you need to wait a whole 2 weeks or pay the full amount. We experienced care issues (lack of) in the 1yr room - injuries, lost items, no one knowing what happened during the day when you ask questions. 2 weeks can seem like forever.
I would completely disagree with this statement about Miss Becca the one year old teacher. I have had 3 children in miss beccas classroom throughout the past 4 years ive been at TLC. Miss Becca is a wonderful energetic upbeat teacher who truly loves the children. She is very informative when i come to pick up and lets me know about how my childs day went. She communicates very well with the parents. I have never seen her in a rough manner with any child! Also my Children have NEVER been sent home unfeed. I am very happy my children were in her classroom, My children would come home with a new art project daily and learned alot. Im sorry you had that kind of experience at the learning curve but i absolutley love it here
Since this all happened, I found out you can review child care facilities at AZ Dept of Human Services. In 2009 TLC was cited for high child to staff ratios in 5 out of 8 rooms. Check the AZ Dept of Human Services for all their other citations.
My personal experience includes watching my 12 month old child on TLC??s internet camera being force fed by her teacher Becca in a rough manner; I saw her chair jolted to the side, her arms pulled, and her head restrained. Needless to say I was sick after witnessing that. After raising the issue with Jenna in management, I was told they would speak to the teacher (this is in the one year old room).
Right after the incident, we had several days where my daughter was seriously underfed (you should know TLC does not provide food unlike other day cares, you need to pack your own food) and I would see HALF of what I gave her still in the bag, not touched, but the worst was when I found ALL her food still there.
My husband and I talked to Jenna more than once, resulting in excuses with them (Jenna and the owner, Ted) denying these events occurred. In my opinion it's hard to deny camera footage and food sitting in our day care bag, but that??s what they did. I asked for them to review the footage and I was told they didn??t save it. I also had food logs with missing information that would all the sudden be filled out differently the next day. Even though incidents like this are not easy to prove, I filed a complaint with AZDHS. I hope other parents will not have to go through anything like this.
I believe that anyone who cares for children must have the patience and compassion needed for the job, which is what I expect of my daughter??s caregivers. I would never recommend TLC to anyone and I can say from experience that management did not ensure guidelines were being met; rather they were concerned with denying and covering up issues.
Cons: Overcrowded, children not fed properly, rough treatment
I worked at the learning curve for 2 years and loved it. fellow co-workers were nice and genuinely cared about their children in care and their jobs as teachers. their were a few bad apples but there is at every workplace, but after working here and comparing other places to TLC. TLC is FAR above the others and it made me really appriciate how good I had it there.
I had to move out of state and worked at many daycares because i was just not happy with any of them, none of the daycares even compare to TLC. I have worked at tutor time, la petite and other main chain names and TLC is far above them not only in curriculium but also cleanliness, caring for the children, families, staff and actually following and exceeding state mandated standards. I was suprised to go to other daycares and not see that sanitizing the classrooms, toys and even the bathrooms was not a daily task. thats just gross.
The owners were very nice and personable but when it came down to doing our job they told us how it was, which was nice, deffinitley no BS, they were very accomodating to everyone. I've read a few reviews online explaining how this place is horrible, all of that is just a few employee's bitter about being let go on bad terms because the owners dont put up with the regular BS that the other daycares allow.
The Learning Curve is a fantastic place to work, i would deffinitley bring my child there and I would work here again.
come'on .....build a TLC in nevada already!!!
Pros: High paid employees, Cleanliness, Professional, Caring
Cons: only one location as of now :(
My child likes it there. They have a low turnover rate of employees so we consistently see familiar faces. The place is cleaner than the other places I looked into and the people just seem brighter and more awake than the other day care centers I looked into. The play ground equipment is all in working order. Sometimes some of the indoor toys are missing pieces but they appear to still be safe. People entering the infant rooms are asked to remove their shoes to help keep the floor clean. Occasionally a parent might ignore the request, but for the most part parents comply. All the employees comply. All the classrooms I've seen have sealed floors with play mats. This helps them keep the place clean. The thing that originally attracted me to the place was the webcams. I can log in to check on my child. Of course the changing station area is not viewable and some cribs aren't either. I've discovered that a child's crib can be moved to a location in camera view if requested. The 1 year old rooms go outside to play more often and the facility also has a 'gym' which is a large padded room for children to run around in. The playground and gym are not accessible through the webcams. Still, the webcam feature this daycare offers is a plus. They only offer webcam service for children 3 and under. They do NOT provide meals. This is not a problem for me because I prefer to provide food for my child. To get beyond the reception area, you need to either be let in by someone or you enter a door code and provide a thumbprint scan. They are a little more expensive for the average in the valley but in line with the price of other daycare centers in that part of Gilbert.
They have a certified kindergarden as well but I have no experience with it.
Pros: low turnover rate, webcams, clean
