This is my first time to write a review on any website, however I felt compelled to share my story, and wish that you take all sides into account. My experience with Buds has not been favorable as seen here on the two reviews Ive read. My girlfreind went yesterday to get a check engine light diagnosed, and her brakes checked at Buds. After telling her they performed this, she recieved an invoice ( #1146) for $44.53, and was told that she needs a new catalytic converter which would cost $600, and that they could not use an aftermarket part on her car. Consequently she went to Mesa Muffler, where the gentleman informed her that they could replace the part for $178, and after she questioned the price difference, they were confused, because "Buds buys the parts at the same place". Needless to say she had them replace the part, paid the bill and recieved a 3 year warranty (although the details of what is covered is unknow right now). This morning I called Buds to ask about the differences. I was told by the person who answered the phone that the manager wasnt in, and he didnt know when he would be in. Could have been Bud himself for all in know. After explaingin the situation to him, his response was that they could not put an afternmarket part on and that it what the dealer was charging him. I informed him of what had transpired down the street at Mesa Muffler, and the only response was that he might have been mis informed from his supplier. As for the charge to give an obviously over blown estimate, he offered no recourse or explanation only to say that they checked the brakes as well.So my biggest question with Buds' is that they are supposedly the "expert", but some how on a rather routine part replacement, they were "mis informed", and couldnt catch a price difference of $422, or at the least offer some viable less expensive options, other than pay us for the estimate.

My husband and I love Bud's Auto Service. We have been taking our vehicles there for maintenance and repair for years. They have really taken good care of us and have never overcharged us. They stand behind their work. If we had questions about something, they were more than willing to completely explain what they did and why. They go the extra mile in trying to save you money on a repair and that's what we liked the best about them.

My experiences with this company have been nothing but excellent. This man took apart my entire door on my van, and could have charged me the $300 he quoted me for the broken part, but found out that a less expensive part was broken. He only charged me $23 for fixing the part and had it done in 20 minutes. He could have just let me pay the $300 that we had discussed, but he was honest! My mom and dad and brothers have used his services many times as well. He is fast and has great prices!
