THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME THERE AND i HAD A REALLY GOOD TIME. I WANT TO GO BACK!!! I AM NATIVE AMERICAN AND LIVE NEAR CASA GRANDE. BUT THE TRIP WAS SO WORTH IT. I AM SO GLAD I MADE IT! LOVED THE BAND LOVE THEIR MIXTURE OF DIFFERENT ARTIST SUCH AS STEEL PULSE, BOB MARLEY, MAXI PRIEST ETC. CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN!!!
Pros: HUGE REGGAE FAN
Cons: NONE
I didn't think it was possible to ballz up a pizza, but the Chicago Bar has proven that their pie making skills leave a lot to be desired. The pizza dough was flavorless and raw at the center. The pizza sauce I suspect came out of a can; no seasonings added, just pure tomato paste. The cheese blend on the pie had more mozzarella than anything else and the toppings used were bland. Excellent place for drink specials, just don't eat the food.
Pros: Beer
Cons: Pizza
Dirty, low class , use is heavy and selling and buying,
the bands at night are awesome, but very low class customers
Pros: bands
I have been going to The Chicago Bar for over 10 years. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are my favorites. They have live Regae or Blues. It is small and it gets crowded but I get there early enough to get a good parking spot. Kerwyn, behind the bar is the best mixoligist in town. He is worth waiting for. The bands always rock and the party is always on. I dance until I can feel the sweat run down my back. The mix of people is amazing, Black, white, rich, poor, we all hang out at the Chicago Bar. People come from all over town. If you hate crowds, laughter, loud pulsating music and shaking you Groove Thing then steer clear. If it's mixing and mingeling you have in mind, make your way to this little wonder.
This hip place celebrates humanity in all its diversity. If you like a genuine saloon, you should come! Sooo Tucson! Love to dance? The floor is large enough for your self-expression. The head charge is reasonable, the drinks are cheap. The crowd is interesting, lively and cool. Here, you can find your mojo!
Pros: music, dance, drinks
Cons: none
If you like a mixed crowd interms of age and ethnicity, and you don't want to leave alone, Thursdays and Saturdays at the Chicago Bar are for you! Have on of Kerwin's Long Island Iced Teas, make a new friend on the dance floor while Neon Prophet rocks the semi-reggae riddims, get your mack on.
Pros: drinks, cost, music
Cons: baby-mama drama
