Sas Fabrics By The Pound

OK cheap and great if you need scraps or are not searching for a particular thing. You can browse through tons of different aisles, styles, fabric patterns, patches, beads and material depths. It is almost to overwhelming. I don't sew but I like to use fabric in my classroom for bulletin boards so I am open minded. It is cheap. I would not go here if you had a certain thing in mind because it is warehouse huge, hot, cramped with kids running around and you might not find what you are looking for and get aggravated in the process. However, sometimes the hunt is half the fun right?

I always say never again but I always went back because of the prices and selection to browse through. But this is my last visit! My friend says bad service is part of it's charm and what you get with this place. It is known for poor service for 20plus years or more. but I can't abide with being treated rudely!!!!!I am always treated so bad here. And it is every time I go not just once or twice. Even when I try to be so pleasant to the people working there. They must really hate their job. My friend says the owners are just nasty people but I don't know if the owner has ever waited on me before.Perhaps it is just the general mission statement of the place and has spread to all people working here.??? I don't understand it myself since I have never had this happen at any other place I have visited frequently before. Perhaps they think they will get so many customers they don't have to be nice to them????? The last time I went I was pretty much told off by the worker because God forbid they don't take credit or debit. She told me she took a check but when I went to pay the cashier said 20 min for check. HELLO????? By then I was fuming because the lady said to me, quote, unquote, " Too bad. We don't need your business that bad. The owner is fine without taking credit cards despite what customers want because people love us." Not only is that an odd, egotistical, and offensive thing to dare to say to any customer, I found it appalling since I treated her very kindly. Well, you decide. People do love this place despite the crappy service. If you don't want to be helped then it is fun to look at all the really cool fabrics and things they have, especially around Halloween.

Pros- selection, price, and fun hunting grounds!
Cons- cash only/check $20 min, tight aisles, parents who don't watch their kids, no air and no drinks allowed, rude service, service people who don't speak English puts a burden on the ones that do making them very busy!
