Very Professional and Affordable

by Julie S.

Quick service, excellent prices, very convenient. I will take my pets here from now on. The receptionist can be a bit stand-offish, but if you want info she will help you out. The doctor is great!

Excellent Place

by Lynn M.

Excellent! I know they have changed ownership over the years. The animals I have brought in have always received excellent care. From spay/neuter, shots & declawing. The remarks about past receptionists are true but I believe has been rectified. It is a very busy place, for a good reason, and their prices are great.

Looking for suggestions

by Caitlin G.

I have an appointment this comming thurs for 5 rescue kittens I found outside my office. I called around to numerous places to see if there was anyone out there willing to give me a break considering these were rescue animals and I am not made of millions unfortunatly and already have a dog and cat of my own. NPSN was the only place I found that did break the bank and the lady I spoke with on the phone seamed genune and helpful.

The main reason however that I am leaving a comment is because I am hoping that I can somehow get in touch with Bonnie M. who left a comment awhile back and said she works with rescue animals. I have found homes hopfully for the kittens but was looking for some friendly advise on the best way to get these guys more acclamated to people. I have watched them and they are very playful but they are very fearful of people and hiss and scratch when held. I want to find them good homes but it is going to be hard if they remain unsocial. ALso, its really quiet sad but when I rescued them from my office their mama cat was with them but she is really not so nice as she is obviously a farrel cat and so I was unable to get her as well. I have remained feeding her but I would like to try and help her more too. If there is anyone out there that has some ideas that would be great. Or knows how I could possibly get a hold of Bonnie M.
Thanks.

North Phoenix Spay & Neuter is 5 Star!

by toni s.

Dr Anderson and staff are awesome! I have worked with Dr Anderson for nearly 15 years and he is the best.
Come on, how much closer can you get to Dr James Harriet of Yorkshire, All Creatures Great and Small, fame!
The receptionists are EXTREMELY busy and do the best they can. They are multi tasking from early a.m. till at least 5 p.m. they do ALOT of educating, schedule making and changing and checking in, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. please dont waste precious space by defaming people in public. if you really have an issue you should tell them to their face. how are they suppose to change when they may actually not even realize they are making people unhappy. Hats off to North Phx Spay and Neuter Clinic

Great Service, but a Rude Receptionist

by Marissa P.

We went in to have our two Frenchies and my rabbit neutered, and the receptionist basically ignored all of the people that were there. Definitely not the friendliest one I've ever met.
However, once we were in the back, I felt much better. Both the vet and the nurse were saying how cute my rabbit was, and even though he nipped the vet, which surprised me because he's never done that to me before (I guess he knew why he was there), he kept doing what he needed to do. He was very gentle with him, and that made me confident.

If you're planning on getting your pet altered, I'd recommend this place. Very good price and awesome vets. Don't let the receptionist scare you away!

Wonderful Clinic!

by R J.

People don't actually expect to be treated like kings and queens these days, do they? In saying that, the animals ARE! That is what they are in business for is to take care of your animals needs! They have seen all 3 of my animals, 2 cats 1 dog. I felt that I was treated as best as I should have been. As for my animals, they were treated with wonderful care by EVEN the FRONT DESK girl. They do what they can and they do a GREAT job doing it! You won't regret taking your pet(s) to this office! North Phoenix Spay & Neuter Clinic is GREAT!

RE: clinic and friendliness

by Bonnie M.

I have had over 10 animals spayed/nuetered and dentals done at this clinic. Are they the MOST friendly people in the world? Probably not, but I'm not paying for them to be nice to me. I pay them to take good care of my pets, and they do, at 1/3 the price of other clinics. You want happiness served on a silver platter, go to a vet that charges $300 for a spay of an adult dog, and make room for more of my rescued pets. From cats to dogs, they are all treated with respect and it shows that these ladies and docs care about the pet. THAT is what I pay them for. Rescued animals tend to have "issues". These folks treat all my animals with kindness, regardless. I suggest this clinic to everyone I know that is looking for reasonable prices for vet care of their pets. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be able to rescue, care for and rehab so many pets. I've never known them to call and tell you to pick up your pet. QUIT BUGGING THEM WITH STUPID QUESTIONS. There is usually one person to do reception and help the doc. BLESS YOU NORTH PHX!

LAST PERSON , BIG FAT LIAR

by KATE S.

Just so you know, Dr. Andersen has been out of town for over five weeks, so not sure how you seen him when he has been gone for quite some time. You shouldn't put in false info about people when you weren't even there. I had my dogs done last week and they did great. The receptionist were very busy but doing great for as many people that were there. You would not so nice if you had to deal with people like you, barking dogs, crying babies, etc.

Yes, very rude receptionist staff (there are more than one)

by Leticia O.

The receptionist staff was horrible. It was so bad, I was first thinking about leaving. Most of the time, they treat you like you're not there. When they do choose to address you, you and your pet are treated like an inconvenience.

However, Dr. Anderson was very good with the animals. He was a very nice man, and seemed to care about his work. I was a little concerned though when they released my cat to me after a neutering. He was still halfway under the anesthesia. But he made it through just fine.

All in all, if you need to save money, I suppose there aren't many options. They know it too, and that's the way you are treated.

**UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO KATE S.:
This review reflects two pets being spayed and vaccinated at this clinic. The first trip was early 2008, the second in October 2008. Thanks for pointing out that you know the Doctor's vacation schedule, but you have no right to accuse me of being a liar. Hopefully this review helps people learn that this clinic is indeed very cheap, but the reception staff needs work. As a matter of fact, when I took my new dog in October, they were slightly more friendly, so I'm not the only one that's complained.

Rude Receptionist

by Anonymous

No, I agree. She was rude and short. In my opinion she should be canned. The only thing she does a good job of is helping the Clinic lose business. Not only was she rude to me, but I noticed she was rude to the other customers. Not a good quality to have if you are trying to run a decent business.

Rude Receptionist has a bad name

by Anonymous

I was just given the name of this office as the doctor has been referred to me as "great" and worth the fact that the receptionist is not nice at all. This person actually said not to judge the office by this woman and that they do great work. It is a shame she gets away with this but since pets can't talk I am sure its the only way she keeps her job. Life is too short lady, lighten up. Ive never even talked to you yet. Hopefully your nicer to the animals than the people.

ANNONYMOUS PERSON WHO WROTE LAST REVIEW

by Anonymous

How can you judge someone without even talking to them yet. If your preconceived notion has already tainted your opinion of the clinic. Then I would suggest you go somewhere else. I just had my dog done there and they were great and got along with the receptionist fine. Perhaps something terrible happened to the receptionist on the day in question and she was just doing the best she could to get through the day. How would you feel if someone judged you like that. Obviously your not a godly person.

Poor Customer Service

by Nichole I.

Both receptionists were unfriendly, you could even say rude. The vet tech was friendly with our dog and answered all of my questions. Dr Anderson was also good with our dog. Overall, if I had to do it again, I would research a different clinic.

Cheap prices but terrible receptionist!

by Anonymous

Looking for a low-cost neuter option, I was referred to this place by a coworker. While this was about 75 dollars cheaper than my normal vet, I was absolutely disgusted with the customer service of the receptionist. Every time I called for information prior to the procedure or for post-op pickup information, she was extremely rude and short. She snapped at my girlfriend the day before the surgery when all she was trying to do was confirm the appointment. The receptionist snapped "I'm nowhere near a computer right now!" and then quickly put her on hold. On the day of the operation, I was told he would be ready at 4 or 5. I got a message around 1:30 that he was ready. As I was at work, I returned the call at around 3 to tell them I would pick him up at 4 and she said "Well the sooner the better cuz once the animals are picked up we're outta here!" Does she actually believe that none of their clients have jobs that require them to work to at least 4??!! She was an absolute b-word (fat biker chic - need I say more) and I am not an easily-iritated person. So, decide whether poor customer service is worth giving up to save a hundred bucks or so before you decide to go to NPSNC.

Spay and Neuter

by Andrea O. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,563

Very, very happy. My cat had never been in a carrier before, and he is not that good around strangers. They handled him very well. They explained all the possible side effects, and things to watch for to indicate a problem. They also gave me a reminder of when he needed shots again. And the prices are unbeatable.
