Ky-Ko Roofing is the WORST! Initially there is a friendly, seemingly knowledgeable salesperson that comes to your home quickly & makes it seem like they will totally take care of you. As soon as you sign on the dotted line the nightmare begins. First of all they subcontract all of their work. The roofer that they assigned to our home NEVER showed up when he said he would. We'd be ready for him to be on the job by 6:30 AM as he'd said and he wouldn't show up for days. Then he would be up on the roof tearing things apart or hammering at 7 PM while we were having a dinner party. He left beer cans in our garbage and at the 'end' of the job he left tons of roofing tiles, bags of garbage, etc ON THE ROOF & never returned. I called Ky-Ko repeatedly and nobody ever showed up when they said they would. Finally after a week, I went up on the roof myself and cleaned the mess off. We hauled it away personally. About a week after that, they rang the door bell and before I could get to the door they'd left a door hanger that claimed the job done!!!! They said that we would have to personally sign off on the job when it was done to our satisfaction. We were furious! Days later, someone in the business office called and curtly asked my husband to call them. He was out of town at the time and I told them he was very busy but I would give him the message. Several days after that we got a call from the VP telling us they were going to put a lien on our house unless we signed off on the job as being done. This was the first that we were aware that the financing that we had procured would not pay them unless we signed off. Being young and naive and busy, my husband went in and signed off. When I was cooled off enough to speak, I called repeatedly and asked to speak with "Monty" the president of the company but he was always busy and so I had to leave a message. He finally called back one day when I was on a ladder painting the ceiling and it took me awhile to get to the phone. When I detailed the history of what we had gone through, how rude his VP had been to us and how OUTRAGEOUSLY poorly we were treated he said, "No, no, no (my VP) is really a very nice man" and then he asked me how old I was and told me that I really shouldn't be up on a ladder!
Ky-Ko Roofing should be avoided at all costs!

We had a house fire in March and need roof work completed. In early May, we contracted with Ky-Ko Roofing to complete the work. Their initial sales person was nice and even transferred our account when he left the company. Then person I signed the contract with was also pleasant, experienced, and knowledgeable. The problem is that, 4 months later, they still have not called to schedule the work. They are very busy, but this is bordering on ridiculous. I have lost interest on the deposit I placed and we still don't have the repairs completed. I am hoping that the quality of the work makes up for the delay.

PROS: Nice Staff
CONS: Busy, Long Delays
