WORTH THE MONEY... I'd say if you have to visit ANYTHING in this town, The Bird Cage is a must. It is the only standing building not destroyed by the fire! MUST SEE

The one museum in town that is more than worth it's money. You start off in a small saloon (everything, I mean everything, is just like it was in the 1800's) and then you walk back into the actual theatre with its box seats and curtains and tables around the front. I only suggest that you see it soon, as everything is authentic and the stage curtains and alot of the other things around are coming apart with age. You can stand on stage and you actually feel the ghosts around you. This is the best experience you will have. Probably not good for real young children, they won't understand why you like it so much and they'll get bored before you can truly enjoy yourself.

Tombstone is a great little town for a weekend gettaway, and this place is a must see while you are there. This is the only building in Tombstone that hasn't been restored, and it pretty much unchanged since the 1880s. Back in the 1880s this was a saloon and brothel. There was a lot of high stakes gambling that took place in the basement along with a lot of deaths over these gambling games. The Bird Cage is now a museum and has all sorts of memorabelia from the 1880s in it. Also, the original piano is has never been moved from where it was left in the 1880s, and the original bar is still there too. This place is truly amazing, and is also really haunted. I assume it is because this was such a fun place for people at that time. We got quite a few ghost pictures in this place. It currently costs $6/per person to go into the Bird Cage, but it is definately worth it. We even made the trip back to Tombstone again just to see the Bird Cage. I highly highly recommend this place if you are close to Tombstone, AZ.
