This is the biggest group of con artists I have ever come across. The Dealership and the Service Dept. lie and sold me a badly wired LEMON. I can only say AVOID THESE CROOKS LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are now after 2 years costing me $2,000. after lying about the GPS piece of rubbish they badly installed. VW does not care about CUSTOMER REPEAT BUSINESS! THey scam you get u in & out as fast as possible and have dreadful liars in Service who only want to sell you another car. I traded in my lexus for this plastic cheap piece of rubbish. Two years of faults. BUYERS BEWARE. The headquarters doe not even care about good customer service or repeat business. I hope they go broke. Once you buy from them you'll never go back. Worst dealer Iever and I have bought 8 cars in my life. NO CUSTOMER CARE OR ETHICS!

Ok, so listen to this nightmare before you even consider trusting their service department to take care of a good customer. I traded in my 2007 Toyota Tacoma in March of 2008 to this dealership. The truck was worth about 28-30K when I took the hit and traded it in for 22K. At the time I was suffering the financial strain of our economy and wanted to get in a more practical and economical ride. I have always been impressed with German engineering. I bought an 06 Jetta Certified Pre-owned with 40K miles on it. It was a great car for the most part. My extended warranty, I bought for it covered the car for two years or 74,000 miles. I took the car in for a final warranty inspection shortly before the 2 years was about to expire. With a couple of minor replacements (CV boot and seat belt malfunction). I entered the out of warranty time. 2K miles after this final inspection, my transmission started shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I thought I was doomed for a trans. rebuild at 76K miles on the car. I took my car to a German Auto Mechanic to find it was the Valve Body. About a thousand dollar repair. On Dec. 21st 2010, I received a letter in the mail from Volkswagen, explaining that they extended the warranty on my valve body to 100K miles. Overjoyed, I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership to get it repaired. The next day, the service rep called me and told me that it was not the valve body because they found "burnt fluid" in my transmission. He immediately concluded that I would need a whole new transmission over burnt fluid. After consulting with my dad, who is a mechanic, he informed me that examining the fluid is NOT a proper diagnosis of the valve body. I filed a complaint with Volkswagen of America just to find out they stood behind their service tech's claims...I am at the point where I am going to get some news cameras there to exploit their shady lack of service. Perhaps, 3 on my side? Remember, this was a part under warranty that they found every reason not to replace. The dealership lied to Volkswagen of America, because after trading in my truck, which they made about 8K off of (even leaving on the aftermarket tonneau cover I spent $1100 originally), they didn't want to anything to service my car, without trying to weasel more money out of me. Volkswagen of North Scottsdale are a bunch of crooks. I've never been so frustrated over a sheer lack of customer service. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. It had me wishing I was on the show 'Boiling Point.' If anyone has a similar experience, please email me @ manartguy@gmail.com. I will join you in taking the proper action.

I have not had any of the negative experiences depicted above. I moved to AZ about 7 months ago and since my Passat is still under factory warranty I've been taking it there for scheduled maintenance every since. They have always been professional, courteous, and helpful to me. They have on occasion suggested doing things which cost money but they were always legitimate issues like rotating the tires. When I call with a question about my car they put someone on the phone who can answer it and they never try to talk me into bringing it in to be checked if it isn't necessary. Additionally, every time the car is serviced --even just an oil change-- they hand wash the car for me and do a much better job than any of the hand wash places around the valley do, for free.
I'd say that like any dealership you will certainly find good and bad people but I have owned 5 VWs in my day and know a lot about fixing them as I've always done my own work to save money. I think you just need to be a little aware and understand that not only are they in business to make money but they simply have to increase profits in this day and age. They wont recommend doing something to a customer's car that doesn't need to be done but they may make recommendations that I would consider to be completely optional or discretionary. (For instance, my stock tires are about used up and they made the recommendation that I change them and on the summary of my last service included a quote for 4 new tires at about $300 ea.) Well, I know I can get those same tires for about $120 each from a tire shop so I just said, "no thanks," and that was the end of it.
Bottom line, if you're completely ignorant and easily led I can see where you'd get the idea that they are taking advantage of you. But they're not. THe car DID need 4 tires and that is the going rate through VW for those tires. Caveat Emptor, or, let the buyer beware. YOu're not going to find a dealership that doesn't offer these things because it's the right thing to do. Driving on worn out equipment isn't safe. It's up to you to decide what really needs to be done for safety reasons and either let them do it or have it done somewhere else.
So far, to me, these guys have been nothing but professional, prompt, clean and courteous. I would totally recommend them to a friend or neighbor.

Well I had a very unhappy experience with this dealership. I am a senior citizen and had work done on the car, wi 2 days my ac went out..the DID NOT stand behind it and their mechanic had worked on the car!!! I will never give them a penny as long as I live in AZ. This is NOT a reputable dealership..they are OUT to get every penny they can in the service department!! And I had been going to them for 5 years!!! Never, never again!!! GO TO THE NEXT DEALERSHIP FOR A CAR OR SERVICE!!!

PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS: I am a recent college graduate and just got my first job as a special needs teacher. I am a good hearted, hard working person, and I would not be writing this if I was not so passionate about saving anyone else from experiences this. I was particularly attracted to the jetta for the price and also for the college grad financing program. I originally found everyone at the dealership to be very nice, friendly, and pressure free. As a result, I decided to purchase one of the certified used cars they had. I signed papers at a very low interest rate, as part of the college grad program, and everything seemed perfect. The following evening (9:30 at night!) they called me and told me that they actually decided to change the interest rate. The following day I went in and they said that I could only take the car if they TRIPLED my interest rate, but when I said that it was impossible they rudely told me that my only option was to take that or get rid of the car. THIS IS FRAUD! I decided to give up the car because I did not want anything else to do with them, but they are horrible horrible people who are trying to bait people into buying cars in order to trick them into paying a ridiculously high interest rate. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT GET INVOLVED. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND I AM TAKING LEGAL ACTION, and if there are others out there who have also experienced this fraud please write back!

While test-driving cars recently, we stopped in at this location. I can't speak for the entire dealership, but the woman who went on the test drive with us was absolutely terrible. She was all over the place, climbing over me (as I was driving) to fumble with all the car's features. She had me driving 70mph on the street to prove the car had power - not fun for me at all! On top of that, her personal appearance was disheveled. She just didn't come across as 'professional.' I will never step foot in there again!

Shopping at Volkswagen North Scottsdale was an enjoyable experience. The sales staff was more than happy to answer any questions and test drive numerous cars. A nice selection of inventory as well.
